Hoarding.

I collect certain things in skyrim but back in OB i was a pure hoarder. I had the Wizard Tower DLC and i kept everything i found and put it in a specific box depending on category. That Vault was worth more than the white-gold tower

I've had to buy all the houses.... Just to hold my books. I know i have duplicates, but every house has to have a complete library. I know I don't NEED 3 full sets of the Wolf Queen, but they look so pretty when they're lined up on my shelves.

With my 5. Character (a High Elf Battlemage) i started a little habbit which grow humongous, to explore every dwemer ruin and to collect every dwemer item and decorate my house in Markarth with it and i invested a lot of time to find those items and to decorate them in the right manner, starting with the stairs to my house, i placed a dwemer helm on every pillar outside my house and i must say it looks really nice specially at night when those dwemer helmets are illuminated by candle light. I also stacked up gold ingots in the empty huscarl room which serves me now as treasure room, filled with ingots and jewels.

None of my houses can house my book collection even without the duplicates. I could try splitting them up and housing some in each house and they might fit, but I would rather have them all in one place so I can see what I have. I put the duplicates on the shelves for decoration. I think the only place big enough to house such a big collection is the Arcaneum, so I am still trying to work out how to get that damn key! No doubt it is read every book in the game which might take a while. My second character got books my hard working first character did not, and I cannot even work out how to get them, let alone all the books. But I am working on it. :)

I've got a lot of magical weapons and armours on display in Hjerim, and then one chest filled with far too many potions... it just takes too long to drag them all to a shop, and then the shopowner never has enough money so I end up having to buy things back afterwards...

Although that video made me want to go and clear out my house completely. Yes, even Wabbajack.

I only keep weapons with special names, and at least one type of enchanted weapon.

I keep every bounty (been there, did that) and assassin's note (body count).

No journal is left behind.

Other than that, if it's not nailed down, it's cooked, potioned, or sold.

Funny thing: In Oblivion, I went out of my way to take every hour glass I saw.

Skyrim has offered me no odd commodity like this. I thought about the lanterns, but they're ugly.

I hoard Gold, Flawless Gems (they're useful for good Jewelry making in times of financial need...), Silver and Gold Ingots, Black Soul Gems and certain trophies from every Contract I have completed (150 contracts and still going strong, Sithis loves me...).

Everything else is my cash-cow.

I think the term "pack rat" would be more appropriate for me. I save unique things and things that have sentimental value. I have shelves full of quest trophies and other things. You know, trinkets, odds and ends, that sort of thing. During the Civil War questline on my Stormcloak character, I collected a shield off a fallen guard in every one of the 9 holds. That way, when the stormcloaks take over, I will have a sort of memorial to them. Sooooo... no, you were right. I'm a hoarder.

I can't seem to leave anything worth value behind after raiding a dungeon. And since I already have so much gold I gave myself the quest to have one of every armour set and weapon set in the game. I guess you could count that as hoarding I suppose! ^_^

Not long to go now, I had to craft some of the dragon armours, and am still waiting on a few more bones/scales to finish them, but I have completed all the other sets of armour, as well as most of the weapons. ^_^

I have storage compartments in my house for enchanting (soul gems and iron daggers), Smithing (Ores, Ingots, Leathers, and Gems), and Alchemy (I pretty much save every single ingredient I've ever gotten.)

I also collect books having to do with what that specific character is into. For example, my Werewolf Warrior character has Block/Archery/One-Handed/Two-Handed/Heavy Armor/Smithing/Speech skill books, Lycanthropy Lore books, as well as other books that have to do with his personality that fill up my shelves. I also save letters/notes that mean something to him, in a desk in his bedroom.

And lastly, I save every unique item, artifact, and some rare sets in one chest. Stuff like Dragonbane, Gauldur Blackblade/Bow, Linwe's Armor, etc. I save all of those even if my character would never use them.

I also decorate the house with unique furnishings. Statues, Claws (Ebony, Glass, Diamond, etc. Like the Golden Claw from Bleak Falls), etc.

Same here. Well, he's not my first character, but he became my main one and is my highest leveled character to date. I haven't had this issue with my other two characters. I've kept unique items and a few other things that are just cool....otherwise the most I have of anything is ingredients.

For my main character, I just loaded him up last night for the first time in a long time and was amazed and how much junk he's collected. The items in each of the chests he owns is a list like a dictionary. It's time for an intervention with him.

My previous main character I saved unique things like General Tullius's Armour, the Emperor's clothes and various other similar items, but on my main now I only save trophies of animals I kill, like every pelt, skull and similar. Since I use a lot of animal mods, this makes for a lot.
