Home creation help.

ok, getting very frustrated, i have followed numerous tutorials on making mannequins, bookshelves, etc. in some instances the weapons appear in a random area instead of the weapon rack, if i remove a book from a shelf and then activate the bookshelf, the book is shown to still be in the bookshelf container even though i already removed it and upon leaving the bookshelf, the book duplicates itself, and the mannequins activators aren't working, plus he's floating in the game and in the editor hes standing properly on the ground. I'm so lost if im doing something wrong or if the script or something else is messed up, I have an amazing house pieced together, but it's useless unless these things work and I'm completely lost as to why they aren't working. any help would be appreciated.

I made a pretty good Mannequin tutorial here.

Make sure your home is properly navmeshed for mannequins to stay in place. Meaning you need navmesh triangles below you mannequins. Otherwise they will wander off looking for a triangle to squat on.

Also, all of these activators need to be off of 90 and -90 degree rotations on their z axis or you will get all manner of craziness. 1 degree is enough.

To help in this matter I just released a quick little esp for modders to use as a resource.
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11618

Takes all of the items you normally have to pull from player home cells and puts them into a new, uncluttered one. This should also help modders keep their esp files a bit 'cleaner' and save time in the long run.

Oh man, is navmeshing under the mannequins the solution to them moving to odd places around the cell?

A navmesh under my mannequin keeps mine in place. Make sure you finalize the navmesh too.
