Crossbow would be impossible in Fallout on the current engine, IMO. How would you reload it? In real life cross bows are held down with the foot, pulled back and cocked with BOTH hands. The animation needed to show such reloading couldn't be done on the engine could it? Unless there were some strange way of cocking a cross bow in the Fallout universe. Besides you'd be dead before you could get a second shot off, with such slow reloading. Crossbow = bad idea. Now your typical bow and arrow would work. Fire an arrow grab one out of the quiver, seat the arrow, draw the string, fire.

They could probably pull it off with the 12mm SMG reload animation.

he can't take control of the Legion, I massacred them. He could be looking to set up another legion, Grahams Legion or somesuch, which is why he is seen arming the tribes. But his name is mud in Caesars Legion, even with Caesar dead he would be killed on sight.

Yeah actually, he can, their are more forces of the Legion back east

Hi, i have two questions about the 5 levels per DLC:
What will happen if i have already maxed skills and then i level up?
What will happen if there were only 10 points of skill left to max out all my skills and then i level up (having to distribute 17 points)?

My native language is not English so i'm sorry if there is any typo.

How'd you manage to max out every skill?

Or do the same think they did with Call of Duty. Pull back string. Place arrow in. Shoot.

I loathe Call of Duty, so I'm not aware of what the animation looks like and how they do it.

How'd you manage to max out every skill?

* = Implant
Strength 1+1* (Melee Weapons +4) = 4 points.
Perception 9+1* (Energy Weapons +20, Lockpick +20, Explosives +20) = 60 points.
Endurance 7+1* (Big Guns +16, Unarmed +16) = 32 points.
Charisma 1+1* (Barter +4, Speech +4) = 8 points.
Intelligence 10 (Medicine +20, Repair +20, Science +20) = 60 points.
Agility 4+1* (Small Guns +10, Sneak +10) = 20 points.
Luck 8+1* (All Skills +5) = 65 points.
(4 + 60 + 32 + 8 + 60 + 20 + 65 = 249)

Four tagged skills (with Tag! perk) = 4 x 15 = 60 points
Leveling from level 1 to 4 = 3 x 15 = 45 points
Leveling from level 4 to 50 (with educated perk) = 46 x 17 = 782 points
Skill books (with comprehension perk) = 65 x 4 = 260

So, 249 + 60 + 45 + 782 + 260 = 1396 (with 1300 you are already maxed)

Since OWB will handle some mutations and stuff I'd like to see a red Super Mutant, Blood Mutant! :D
No, really, we've had green, blue and yellow, now it's about time for red before the FEV disappears completely. (I'm sure they'll tweak or break canon for FEV to be in Big Empty.)

He's right 1300 is the magic number but you won't need 1300. At minimum without traits and having everything start out at 5 Special, you will have already got 195 points out of the way. Add 10 more points due to the +5 in Specials at the beginning and another 45 points with the 3 tags and you are already at 255 points meaning you will only need 1045 points in order to max out a character. That number could easily be gotten to with a level 50 cap.

In real life can you walk with a Anti Materiel rifle and shoot from the hip?

I really think if they MUST raise the cap, it should stop at 40, 50 is just way to high, IIRC, people had a VERY big problem with Fallout 3 when they maxed their skill's and still had points to distribute, they were stuck on that screen. In the upcoming DLC's, I think once you hit level 36, each level should have only ONE skill point to distribute.

I have to agree, I would've stopped it at Level 40 but they again went the Broken Steel direction.

don't see what the big deal is about crossbows for crying out loud. You have the most advanced futuristic laser/plasma weapons that the 22nd century can provide, why do you want a thing that takes a minute to reload and shoots one bolt at pretty short range? Pointless. You can fire off more bolts from a 15th century longbow than a crossbow. rubbish.

Bows and crossbows are perfect weapons for a post apocalypse. Ammo is easy to manufacture, weapon maintenance is a breeze, and both are extremely lethal in trained hands. There's professional hunters in real life that prefer a modern crossbow over a rifle for hunting, as they're lighter, studier, and easier to maintain. Also dammed near completely silent. With a proper pulley setup and a scope, a crossbow turns into a terrifying medium-range sniper weapon. Stealth players will adore it.

AMR is just a .50 cal, and yes, you can hip fire them. You won't hit anything you're aiming at, but it can be done. The recoil will also likely put you on your back.

so the way the courier fires from the hip is not realistic right?

Graham's bandages don't look ragged enough. Also his skin looks a bit to smooth.

But looks like he is about to grow alot of arms to hold all those pistols!:D

The skin on his fingers looks a lot worse than the skin on his face. I guess he managed to protect his face to some degree.

Also I noticed SLCPD on the vest. Salt Lake City Police Department? I'm guessing hes holding out in a riot storage room or something.

If the guy wanted Ceasar dead, I can't exactly kill him then. Though I would willingly blow him away with my Bush gun for one of those many pistols.
