If PS3 Has To Wait Then ALL Systems should have to wait. I believe it's only fair.

On the flip side, it's not the other systems fault PSN got taken down. So it's only fair to release it on the current schedule.

Why I'm a ps3 owner theres no reason to make pc and 360 wait, if one person fails a class should everyone else fail too since it would only be fair, its not like the dlc is being kept from us like before psn's down we have to wait until its back up time to put on your big boy pants a grow up.

I'm a PS3 user myself, but the other consoles should not have to suffer due to Sony's arrogance. Heck, I don't even know if the service will be up by the end of May the rate at which things are going now. I've already decided that I will be purchasing the next Xbox instead of whatever Sony releases. Information was being stolen from Sony's network back in February, their security system was lacking, they removed a feature that made the PS3 a computer, and then they got pissed off at people who were pissed off for them removing it. Ridiculous.

How is that in any way fair? I have a PS3 so I know how annoying this whole thing has been, but I happen to play New Vegas on the 360, I don't want problems with Sony's network to affect me on the 360.
I really hope that PSN is back up in time, but if it's not, is it any skin off your back if people are playing it on 360 and PC while you're waiting?

I think any rational person would agree others shouldn't be punished because psn is down it makes no sense cross platform release is only going to occur if the platform is up and running, you wouldn't want to wait if pc or 360 were down, also whats with fair who decides whats fair?

svcks for PS3 users (yes I'm one too), but I don't think it's going to be delayed for Xbox 360 or PC. It wouldn't make business sense. I thought by now some functionality would be back like multiplayer but alas it's not. Brink will suffer a lot of first-day buys from PS3 users if they don't have multiplayer up yet.

I'm pretty sure Bethesda announced a simultanious cross platform release date. If the PSN is up by then you'd get it the day of release.(My PS3 isnt hooked to PSN so i dunno)

so your solution is to force developers to wait for the PSN to MAYBEE reopen at that date. in the mean time the floating loan that Oblivion took out to cover operating expenses continue to acrue interest. . .

In other words, you want the folks at Obsidian (who recently layed off people because it was the only way they could get their floating line of credit reinstated in the first place) to now tell the bank oh by the way were not ging to be makeing payments on that note for an extra couple of weeks because Part of out customer base cant download on time due to things completly outside of our control so we decided to make everyone wait. . ...

My repsonse to them would be, Line of Credit closed. Note due instantly due to forfeture clause. please contact your lawyer about the incomeing Bankruptsy suit. have a nice day.

or has it COMPLETLY ESCAPED YOUR ATTENTION THAT BANKS ARE STILL BEING TIGHTASSES ON LOANS AND LINES OF CREDIT!

If they hold off it will bascialy be a minor miracle that means that the economy has not only completly recovered and were living in a world with full employment but one where where everyone gets a automagic payraise every moth equal to COLA+10% and global PercapitaGDP is growing at an exponetial rate above and beyone anyones means to consume it all thus resulting in our building entire planet sized starships in order to have something to do with all of the insain econimic production.

I don't like waiting but it doesn't make sense to make the rest wait. -sigh- I waited before, I'll do it again.

See, the thing is, they can release it on all consoles at the same time on the 17th. Just because PSN isn't active doesn't mean that the DLC can't be put on it. It'll be released and ready for download, but PS3 owners won't be able to access PSN to download it.

svckers.......
Kidding but seriously it's pretty much what everyones said it's just not a wise business move to delay it for PC and Xbox and in all honesty if the situation was reversed you wouldnt want to be punished for something that we did wrong.

Maby they will release a card in which ps3 owners can buy from a store and use it to buy the dlc. I thought I saw something like that for the 360 when I was at gamestop but idk if we'd need ps store running to be able to do it

No if there's a release date then all 3 will get it at that date with the PS3 getting it the day the PSN is fully restored. Why Should Xbox users have to wait when it isn't even there fault.

Sony is denying the deadline link here http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/109866-Sony-Denies-May-31-Deadline-For-PSN-Return hopefully that means it'll be back up sooner but either way Bethesda's not going to make 360 and pc wait.

also Sony Deserved what it got for having a Stupid IT force
No excuse for running unpatched servers. let alone Not having them behind a Firewall
if this was the military someone would be court-martialed over that kind of incompetence. and investigations in to whether it was done with intent to sabotage infrastructure.

Yeah I know what you're talking about, problem the card gives you a code but which you have to redeem at the Playstation Store (which is down).

Jason Bergman stated that their not going to holdup the launch just because psn is down and that it'll be avialible as soon a psn is back up. As for the card idea good try but it would have to be redeemed on psn which is down at this point so it's not an option.

Even troll threads can find variables of interest.

I heard a rumor that the PSN will not be fully operational until at least May 31st. The source of this was not exactly a reputable one though so I doubt it is true. Still if it is that would svck.

I personally as a PS3 user hope that they do not hold up the release and am glad that they have no plans to. Why should one group of people be forced to share the pain? I'll be happy when it is out. If it isn't up on that day (or if my internet is not back up and running) then I'll just play L.A. Noire while I wait.

I understand the OPs frustration with having to wait long after the DLC is released to be able to play it on the Sony Playstation 3. But its not like you're getting sloppy 3rds or anything. In the past PS3 users had to wait for DLC because of exclusivity rights. Now they just have to wait for Sony's security issues. But what is it that is said; Having to wait makes the heart grow fonder? lol

But seriously I own a PS3 and a XBOX 360 for reasons like these. But i really only use my PS3 to play Bluray Movies and watch streaming episodes of "Star Trek The Next Generation" over the web browser..Their online games dont interest me.

Almost 100% positive if your reads Bethesda's newsletter it said all platforms will receive the DLC at the same time.
