Honest Hearts: Worth the Money?

Post » Tue Feb 15, 2011 4:23 am

Many people say Honest Hearts was too short, but i think the 1911 alone was worth the money, anyone agree? Does anyone know what a 1911 is?

It's 3 to 4 hours of good gameplay. What did people expect from a 10$ DLC anyway?

there are dlcs out there that cost the same and are twice as long... i personally loved HH but it was cause the exploration, i just wished it was longer.

Maybe it's just me and the way I play, but I never, ever seem to understand people who say the DLCs were too short.
I like to explore a lot. I like to look at every little detail, think about every object I find and its purpose in the world. I like to admire the scenery and I like to squeeze as much loot as I can out of the joint before I go. And then I come back and do it some more, and inevitably find more stuff.

I have already spent 10+ hours in Zion, and I haven't even gotten Graham as a companion yet.

The same thing happened with F3's point lookout. People claimed to have done every quest, listened to every dialog, explored every location, and looted everything and done it all in 5 hours or less.

Perhaps I'm just a slow and steady player but I don't even consider that PHYSICALLY possible. And when i want to do a speedrun, I can do a speedrun, but I miss all the little things, and I hate that.

My 2 cents? It's worth 10 dollars.

absolutey worth the money, and imo, only too short if you rush through it without exploring. so much to explore, but alot of empty caves, and also imo, not enough enemies to slaughter.

one of mine also (for FO). the world the devs created was totally awesome. just wish there had been more enemies. i've actually been stalling, and screwing around in the world, for over 7-8 hrs now.

i must be the same exact type of gamer as you (for rpgs). i think the dlc is huge, and there is plenty to explore in zion. rpgs aren't ever meant to be rushed through. fps games were invented for that. i like to take my time, and find every type of item/weapon, and location. i never want to miss ANYTHING.

It's not for everyone, that's for sure (just look at these forums), but for me, personally? Totally worth it.

Way more than Operation: Anchorage or Mothership Zeta, that's for sure!

Two trips through the DLC so far blowing over 24 hours time on it. If you look beyond the quest arrow there is a good 10 hours in Zion on the first 1-2 trips through it.

Edit: The Survivalist's Rifle and the Grunt perk should sell the DLC right there.

I quite enjoyed it... Zion is the nicest map of all imo, and it was a blast to explore
