Is Hopeville where we go in Lonesome Road?

At the XO research station there is a terminal talking about a meteorological station in Hopeville. Could the Meteorological Station in Big Mt. be controlling it ot something else there and that's why Ulysses went there? Anyone else come up with this?

Big Mt did in experiment in hopeville that went wrong before the war. This may or may not have caused the storms at the divide we aren't really sure but it will all be explained in lonesome road.

A detailed map fitting the description of the Divide was also there, and Divide is known for messed up weather. Plus, they seem to be trying a recurring irony element with the DLC, with names like "Hopeville" and "High Rd." (from the screenshot). All roads (lolpun) lead to Hopeville.

I'm wondering if the six pointed thingy on that map is Big MT or the device they placed there that causes the crappy weather.

It's very likely. It certainly stands out, it'll probably be the end destination or where we confront Ulysses. I would say that maybe we meet Ulysses at the very beginning and he is our companion throughout, but it goes against the whole lonesome aspect.
