I'm a PS3 user, and I don't quite know about X Box 360 users, so I can't speak for them. But for me and apparently other PS3 users, the save game files can get ridiculously large. I know the game is already done and etc, but has the PS3 version had the file management fixed up so it can save with less file size?

i dont mind the save size as long as they organize it, i hated opening up my saves on my 360 and waiting like 5 minutes since i have over 700 save (ive cleared them now lol, but ive clocked at least 600 to 1000 hours on fallout 3 with the giant save packages) files. how much memory do ps3 users have per console?

Well, It's fine up until it his 10 MB or something (Im not a tech specialist obv) and it tends to slow down in terms of saves and etc. usually it spikes after I play The Pitt.

Edit- Taco- Ehh, it depends. Mine is ancient, so it's 40 GB, which is enough since I have a small hand full of games as it is.

Anywhere from 20 gb to 320 gb depending on the model you bought. However, some of that is also utilized for the PS3's mandatory system updates (you don't update your system, you can't play games online).

i bought the new ps3 after my dads friends son(the gangster wannabe)
dropped my ps3. and lied about it to my dad. he tried to get me to tell him a dog knocked it over...... i ratted his ass out.

Sorry, but that's not possible. The saves gets larger and larger the more you explore and play, as it saves everything. All "chests" that are emptied, all the junk that is moved around, the locations of all the NPCs and so on. If the size fo the save was cut down, it wouldn't save all your progress any longer, which would make it a worthless save.

Oh, thats a pity. Oh well, Such a small price for such a vast game I suppose.

I can understand the concern. I am on PC, and don't like the quicksave/autosave features (save corruption), so I always do the menu saving. I got a bit lazy with deleting my obsolete saves for a while... and I just deleted about 10 gigs worth of save files off my hard drive.

It was'nt so much that the file sizes could get become huge that really bothered me since i have a ton of thumb drives laying around in case i need to back up saves and make room on my system, what did annoy me though was how as file size increased game stabilty seemed to decrease to the point where once the game reached 10-15 MB the game would freeze, slow down and just become generally unplayable, due to me always making new chars i've never had a game get to that size but i have started noticing much more lag and slow down when my game would get to 7-8 MB.

I hope that some sorta fix was found and added to limit freezing and lag even when the file size gets to 10-15 MB since spending 100+ hours to explore everything just to have the game lock-up everytime you load the save is probaly the quickest way to drive away players.
