Right, so I just bought my first horse in a new game and decide to try out horse combat (I've been away from Skyrim for a while).

When I pulled out my weapon on my faithful steed, THIS is what I saw....

The worst thing is, when I click LMB to attack, I hear the grunting and the swing of the mace, but my character just stands there completely still (just like in the picture).

I've googled "Skyrim Horse Combat Bug" but nothing like this turns up anything. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this??

This bug happens to alot of us with custom animations- there is a fix. Search "horse combat bug skyrim" on google.

There is a large character animation file you either:

A- have already downloaded.

B- now need to download.

In either case- you download that animation mod and a fix that goes with it for this exact problem and bam- problem solved.

That's strange, I don't have any custom animations or clothing, only retextures.

I tried searching that, but it came up with news about the patch being released as well as reviews, I didn't actually see any fixes. I'll try again when I get home
