Is anyone else experiencing a bug where their horse is getting one shot by any attack? i cannot use horses for any travel right now because if i ride past an enemy wolf or bear or something my horse dies in one hit and my charcter dies too. Ive tried multiple horses, as I first noticed it with Frost, and it still happens. I cant get off my horse and fight the enemies because the horse runs away and the enemies chase it way faster than i can sprint and they still kill it. Idk whats going on, but its really frustrating. the only addons i have are the high res pack and dovahkiin hideout. Has anyone seen any addons that i should get? im so frustrated right now i think ill take a break from the game. BTW im playing on second to easiest difficluty, level 24.

Disable any mods and retest the game.

I would disable any mods (not the HRTP) and see if that changes things. There are mods that later the behavior of horses, making them run away from battle rather than toward it. If your mods are not the problem, then I'd suggest looking for a mod that makes horses not engage in battle and another mod that makes them essential. This would allow you to bypass this annoyance and still be able to use horses. I can't vouch for these mods personally, however. I don't use any mods that alter gameplay or content and I haven't encountered any of these kinds of problems on normal difficulty.

Sounds like you could use some horse armor.... try verifying game cache, as well as deleting and regenning your .inis. Don't forget to back them up so you can see what changed.

Yeah I'd regen your .ini, disable the mods, and try again after a clean save. Sounds like mod conflict...
