It really svcks, because I plan on going through a couple dungeons today and having a horse waiting for me outside is very important... And I don't think there's anything I can do?
When one of my horses in Morthal was walking away from me, I got on and fast-traveled back to Morthal just to see if maybe something would get reset. No, this didn't work. I think I might give it another shot because it's all that I can think of, but I'm doubting it's going to work.
Thanks for any help, I'm not really expecting any but I thought I should point this out because it's a bummer.
EDIT: Okay, so I fast-traveled to Markarth, went back outside to Solitude and I noticed that both of the horses in the stables were mine. The first one I got on, that was walking into place as I came out, walked immediately back to the stables. The other, however, that I didn't know I owned, is working just fine, which is a huge relief... it's the first one that seems to be working in days.
However, I did notice that several, if not all, of my dead horses were revived after 1.6.
One horse got stuck in Morthal and I killed it months ago, when I updated to 1.6 and went to Morthal, it was alive again and walking out, going back home wherever I bought it from.
EDIT 2: And the horse just died. :/
EDIT 3: I got the working horse, we left Markarth and got attacked by Forsworn. For some reason, enemies always seem most obsessed with killing the animal first, so they hacked away at my horse until it died.
Knowing I had the other horse still in Markarth, I ran back to Markarth, hoping that now that the other has died, maybe the second will stick beside me now.
No.. this horse goes right back to the same spot in the stables. Every time.
Agh..EDIT 4: Sorry for all the edits, I'm just trying to get this all figured out.
I spent the night at my home in Markarth, went back out in the morning and bought the other horse that had just respawned(due to the other just dying). Now, I don't know if it's the one I just bought or not, because they look the same and were walking around each other for a moment, but one of them works!

Hopefully this one doesn't die right away, I'll try to be more careful, but I don't know why the one keeps returning, or why all my other horses were returning. It'd be nice if they never went back to the stables.
