I wasn't expecting a ton from it, and my whole thought process into pre-ordering and buying this game was "Fallout 3 was pretty fun, so I'll get this one too."
Well, all I can say is it blew me out of the water.
Now don't get me wrong; Fallout 3 was an amazing game, but near the end it felt like a chore more than anything. I just wanted it to be over, because it just kept going on and on.
There weren't that many "WOW" moments in Fallout 3, and only being 5 hours into FNV, all I can say is I am completely svcked into the game.
I don't know if it's just me, but the whole "Dad ran away to go make fresh water" plot of Fallout 3 was a bit simplistic; granted there were many cool moments and twists in the story, it just wasn't a svck you in kind of story.
Already in FNV, I want to keep playing to know more about what's going on in the world. There are so many things that are mysteries (at least for the time being...) that I want to keep playing to find out. And I don't really know where the game is going to go, it isn't predictable like Fallout 3 was to me.
It sounds like I am bashing Fallout 3 and praising FNV here, but really my intentions are just to express how much I'm loving this game, and I feel like it has a bigger "pull" factor than Fallout 3.
Does anyone agree?
