1. Mr. House's faction could essentially be called New Vegas.
2. House doesn't need anymore allies/already has allies. The Boomers and the BoS are the only factions in his eyes that could interfere with his operations, so he wants those settled. The Boomers could potentially be peaceful, so they can become allies, whereas the BoS probably wouldn't be peaceful. As for the Strip families, he does have you check up on one, and while they don't help in the battle, he does double-check to make sure their allegiance is with him.
3. Mr. House is a man who has a goal and a plan to get there. He doesn't care about the small steps along the way: he sees the big picture. Mr. House arguably only rescued you and saved your life because he saw a potential use for you, NOT out of the goodness of his heart. His goal is progress for humanity on a technological level, putting them back to work and increasing the productivity of mankind drastically. For this, he needs funding and for funding, he needs New Vegas under his control, which means he has to win the battle. Thus, the battle is his utmost priority during the gameplay of New Vegas. During the Battle of Hoover Dam, there's simply no practical use for the FotA and thus he doesn't concern himself with them. Same with afterwards: after the battle his priority changes to making a profit, and it's doubtful that his 'clients' have health problems. However, I would think it's safe to assume that somewhere down the line, Mr. House WOULD have a use for them. It's just a matter of bad timing with their arrival.
4. In his own words, "they're ridiculous." The Brotherhood of Steel is an organization that believes the best way to prevent another Great War from destroying the world is by hording the technology that helped it happen, so they horde and confiscate every piece of technology they find, then they end up using that very same tech to secure more tech. They believe that ONLY the Brotherhood is responsible enough to use such tech. Mr. House has the problem that he runs New Vegas with technology, and he was able to survive the Great War and live this long thanks to technology. Hell, it's arguable that Mr. House himself IS technology at this point, and thus, according to the Brotherhood, must be secured or destroyed. It's a pre-emptive strike on Mr. House's part to go after the Brotherhood, knowing they'd never agree to Mr. House's way of running things and could pose a serious threat to him in the future. He especially doesn't want them taking part in the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, ruining his plans.
5. He does have other robots guarding his securitron vault. The thing is though that Mr. House doesn't need Mr. Handys: he'd rather have human workers. What he does need is security, and his Securitrons are the top-of-the-line in security.
It's also worth noting that the game heavily implies that Mr. House can hook up to any and all Securitrons within his range, seeing what they see and controlling them remotely. It implies they monitor the Strip for him and act as his eyes and ears. He most likely has a network set up that Securitrons specifically are compatible with, and nothing else would be able to hook up to it and act as his direct eyes and ears. Therefore, for the purposes he's looking for, everything else is obsolete.
