"House of Horrors" game breaking bug. DEMANDING a re

What purpose does a post like this serve? Think about what you're saying. You think he just made the whole thing up? Is that it? Why make a post like this? Who does it help?

I dont know if he is, but Im certain hes probably exaggerating. I highly doubt a bug in one save filters to the rest unless it stuck in the cache or the xbox is causing the issue. Not to mention he is the only one that has mentioned such an odd issue to happen. While its not out of the realm of possibility, something doesnt add up. And people make stuff up all the time to try and make a claim, doesnt mean its true. Happens in many MMOs, happens with XBL, it wouldnt be the first or last time someone wasnt fully truthful to what happened

Just like whining helps patch the game. The Xbox audio input has a component that translates delicious tears into binary code that is scripting all the fixes this very moment.

Haha this thread is hillarious.

I don't see how your save files could all be messed up...

I think someone is exaggerating/[censored]ting on top of crying.

Yeah, I don't think its remotely possible for bugs to propagate throughout save files.

I can conclude two things from this thread.

1) OP is a troll

2) OP is 13 yr old "DEMANDING" a refund for a game his parents probably paid for

If I'm wrong I apologize, but instead of wasting your time and effort whining on a thread but about you ask for help instead? Or better yet take 10 seconds and try to research your problem.

I have read through the thread and I just want to voice my growing displeasure with these people who are only in this forum to tell those of us who are dealing with gamebreaking bugs to stop complaining. What motivates people like this? This forum exists for people to report and discuss hardware and software issues that they are having with the game. The OP in this thread basically does that. He pointed out a major bug that not only broke a quest but corrupted an entire character throughout multiple save files. That, to me, is information that belongs here in this forum.

Why are people coming in here to tell him that it's somehow his fault or that it's not a big deal? It seems like these people lack any sense of empathy. They don't even attempt to put themselves in the plaintiff's shoes. They're too busy waving their pom poms for Bethesda. It's really weird actually because these are people who don't have any issues with their game. They could be playing their game and having fun and yet they choose to be in the technical issues subforum defending a billion dollar corporation. That's just sad.

I don't actually want to be in this position at all. I wish I had no reason to be in this forum. I wish my game was working without any major glitches and I could just live my life and play the game without dealing with any hassle or frustration. You guys come in here just to add to the frustration and anger that some of us are dealing with. It's really annoying. If you don't have a problem or advice as to how to solve a someone else's problem, do us all a favor and leave.

The problem lies not in the issue, but the presentation. If the OP wasn't being such a whiny 14yr old [censored] then he would receive so much more sympathy. It's annoying that he DEMANDS his refund without taking the time to research the problem or solutions to said problem (or if he has then he hasn't said so and probably should about now). If he said that he "had a game breaking bug and am getting really frustrated with it" it would garner much more support than "I'M sO aNgRy AnD I'm GoNnA yELL And piTcH A FIT lik UH WINeY LiL BABY!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!1", which is essentially what he did here. Your response, for example, was much more reasoned and less obnoxious.

We don't try to empathize, not because we don't care or understand, but because to empathize, one must imagine oneself in that other person's shoes and nobody wants to be that whiny little brat of a kid (We already grew out of it. We did our time. Don't make us go back! Please!).

When Bethesda gets around to doing a press release on the current issues I DEMAND everything be read by Arnold Schwarzenegger or, should The Govenator be unavailable, someone who can do a decent impression. Your move, Bethesda.

There was one other quote which I couldn't get to from the first page, but I just have to say, this kid is a champ.

Didn't happen to me, but why don't you just start a new game? Its not a huge deal. I've done it four times since day one, after not liking my perk decisions. Two of my old characters had over 100 hours each.

Haha this thread is hillarious.

I don't see how your save files could all be messed up...
....
I agree.. Small recap.
-AArgh quest messed up alllll my saves.. I am going to make a statement I want my money back. (see how I can abbreviate a single post in euphemistic manner)
-Reaction: Surely OP must be exaggerating. Counter arguments mostly about tone of voice.
-Derailment: OP could give a balanced reply, stating why he is angry... but nooo... starts calling people names.
-Suddenly someone actually tries to help.. (no reaction)
-Nobody really goes into his tips let alone OP.
-More bickering

In short: OP has a problem with a known Quest Bug. Said bug is apparently influencing all of his other saves. A fact which from an objective pov is extremely unlikely unless there are other issues at stake.
So short word of advice: Follow up the advice metajako gave you. The issue you describe might actually be more of a technical XBox problem than only be attributed towards a bugged quest.

To point out some other elements:
-OP's tone of voice is the entire problem with the thread.
-Uriel Nocturnes reply might be harsh but is mostly aimed at the manner in which OP adresses the issue.
-OP then reacts by namecalling.. which is always going to win arguments (not)
-Others come in the fray, claiming that people who post counter arguments to unfocussed anger are (lose translation) a bunch of Bethesda lovers.. Yes that's also going to help a healthy discussion (not)
-Suggesting OP has a modded X-Box or posting useless information like "I never had problems with this quest" are further derailing this thread.
Concluding: OP answer the questions asked by metjako and test other games. most likely your X-Box has a GPU problem or a caching issue. The quest in question can (!!) indeed be bugged.. So if you want a refund, be our guest and visit your retailer. To all others: A little discipline ... please.. (although it is an amusing read)

Hi,

You say you tried your other saves?
Did you try exiting Skyrim, closing down and re starting XBox, clearing cache then try an older save?
I've already seen issues with reloading older saves during the same session doesn't always completly re set back to that save.
Typical examples are shop keepers not re setting etc. Maybe the color smearing is another thing that doesnt re set on loading an older save?

I suggested closing down and re starting along with cache clearing in case Skyrim is still 'remembering' the smearing from the cache etc.
Its anoying when a quest screws up in the middle and stops you going forward or back but, hopefully, an older save will work after resetting etc? :)
Quoting this because it's one of the few posts in this thread which are actually helpful. OP, did this work for you?

In every post there is always going to be a dike like you. Read what I wrote moron, every save file be it inside the house and out was affected by the bug. Some players said dragons are flying backwards and I have never seen that, just as the case here. It is a bug where even if I want to reload a previous save and skip the quest altogether I can not do that as my save files ALL have the color smearing and world shaking. The ONLY way I could think of was to either re-roll or delete the game and give up, which is what I'm going to do. Bethesda is infamous for making games plauged by bugs and every one of their games I have played I'v had to struggle through them but none were game breaking such as this. What you're telling me to do is essentially ignore the fact that I had the hours of progress robbed from me and to start over. If you bought a new car and the engine failed, and the dealership told you to just buy a new engine would you just simply do it? Don't come onto posts voicing outrage over wasted money and act like a stuck up [censored]. [censored] you man.

And I DEMAND Beyonce sleeps in my bed tonight, instead of her own.

But, well, that ain't gonna' happen, is it? Quit yo' jibba-jabba and either get in contact with the retailer you bought it from or just sell it to Gamestop.

Here's what I'm sick of, people complaining about how other people choose to write their post. What a [censored] waist of time. Grow the [censored] up and stop being so damn sensitive. I mean do we really have to be so [censored] PC all the time? Do curse words hurt your ears?

Anyone who has put 70, 100, 150, hours in this game to have it all go down the toilet has every right to be mad. Stop defending Bethesda they owe us all an explanation. And the shrinking minority of trolls who's game is "working just fine" get the [censored] out of here, no one gives a [censored] about your opinion. It's just a matter of time before your one of us too, believe that!

And sorry if this topic gets locked because apparently the who ever monitors this form is pretty sensitive too. And I thought you east coast kids were supposed to be tough, how wrong I was. WEST SIDE!

Like all places forums have rules, rules you agree to when signing up, believe language is one of them. You do know you can get your point across just the same without using censored language right? Curse words dont hurt my ears but I do know to follow rules of places where I post. I have no problems reporting posts for language issues

Go right ahead, see if I care. What if I attack you personally and call you a little girl. Which you are BTW, fine go tell daddy on me. I don't give a [censored], I've waist enough time here testing this game. And we all know that if they were to delete my account I could very easily just creat a new one. But honestly I have better things to do than to listen to little [censored]es like you.

Call it what you will I prefer to have forums I go to free from vulgarity as it adds nothing to an argument or statement.
