I’m still near the beginning of the game, but I need to find a place to stash stuff. Is there something similar to the Megaton house quest in FO3 that is accessible early in the game? Barring that, is there a safe place near Goodsprings (a box or container of some kind) that is a safe stash spot?

You get your first residence in Novac, but if you're like me and take you sweet time to get there (12 hours) that's a long time to lug crap. I got to Primm PDQ and got access to the mailbox and sent stuff to myself in Goodsprings every few days. I was afraid I would have a random house box repop and loose all my crap. Never had and issue with the mail.

Well, Stash it on the body of the dead black powder ganger dude if you killed him. He stays there forever. But you get a place on the strip. The story is so short I cant see why your having issues. The side missions dont fit in well anywhere I guess. :jammasterjay:

Lucky 38 a lovely house if you betray Mr. House its all yours and you get your own presidential suite. :fallout:

The only "Official" house is in the Lucky 38, but there are some abandoned shcks and Goodspring Houses that are ideal for Player Housing.

You get the one at the Atomic Wrangler too.


Anyone have any good suggestions for a house to set up at out in the wasteland? I like the 2 I have, but they're both basically downtown. I want something more rural.

Oh and there is an official house in Novac. For set-up house in the wasteland I'd go with a Nipton, or Goodspring House.

what i usally do is .. i use floor safe at goodspring in the gas station until primm after that just use mail box after i reach novac just get a room and use that.. until i get a key for safe house for any faction

Ahh, cool. Is the safe in the Goodsprings Gas Station good indefinitely? I tend to take a long time poking around. I'm 16 hours into the game and haven't left the SW corner of the map yet.

I've cleared Primm. Is the mailbox a safer bet?

Another good place in Goodsprings is Victor's shack. He doesn't mind, and never goes inside anyway.
