How Can I Cure My Vampirism?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 3:29 pm

Hi. First off, if this is in the wrong section, I apologise (I'm new to the forum).

Also, how do you see what level of Vampire you are?

So.... I have been cursed and have turned into a Vamp. It was pretty cool for a while (although I think I was a Vamp for a few weeks before I even noticed but we wont mention that...) but it is causing nothing but problems for me now. Basically, my remaining quests can't be completed because I can't talk to so and so or go to that place-a-ma-bob because when I do..... every m&th"f^ck! tries to kill me!!!!

How can I cure this?

I have read about using shrines but this didn't work for me? (Probs because of my Vamp level?)

I have also read about talking to bartenders about rumours, which will result in me being told to talk to someone studying Vampires called Falion in Morthal? That may work but unfortunately, every bartender in Skyrim want's to cut me, so I can't talk to any of them?

Really need advice/help and many thanks in advance!

What is with people, so he got it wrong, he apologised for that and says he is new, people really need to stop being such arses to each other. We all love and play the same game!

But mcleod wasn't being an [censored], he's just notifying him that the question has probably been asked 50 times before and using the search button is the best way to go.

Wow, if you had only talking your own advice, you would have seen that the topic you sent me to does not answer my question at all. Try reading first.

If someone wants to kill you on sight, it's high time you go and feed, to resemble a human again... lol (Didn't vampire movies teach you anything? )

You need to feed or every NPC will become hostile to you. From the supplied article:

Stage Four
  • You have a 100% Resistance to Frost.
  • You have a 100% Weakness to Fire.
  • While outside during daylight, Health, Magicka, and Stamina have an automatic -60 to their total.
  • Nearly all NPCs become hostile and will attack on sight, including http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Marriage and followers.
If you feed you will go down again and noone will be hostile anymore. Then talk to a publican in any inn and they will point you to Falion.

Much appreciated! So I need to "feed" to lower my level, then go to a shrine and get cured... sheesh. Also, it doesn't say (unless I missed it) how you know what level you are other than people attacking you at level 4?? It's not important but I just wondered if there were a simple stat that said "current Vampire Level" or something?

Actually, that answered you question in at least three different ways.

Feed on a sleeping person. Shrines won't help anymore, either complete the companions questline or do the bartender thing (bartender will probably take a lot less time).

From the article again to explain the stages:

"Full vampirism is made up of four distinct stages, starting at stage one and progressing to stage four. You advance one stage for every 24 hours you go without feeding on a sleeping NPC. Feeding always returns you to stage one."

You either count days or check your stats.

Is he new to the internet also? The first rule of the internet is to Google any question you have before bothering other people with it.

Illusion spells are your friend btw. Calm people you want to talk to, if at stage four.

Yeah, man up and be a vampire! Play baseball in tthe rain! Sparkle! Brood over the girl that the werewolf likes! Woo vampires! :twirl:

Honestly, I like to carry cure Disease Potions or Hawk Feathers so I dont have to worry about Sanguinare Vampiris progressing to fullblown vampirism.

A lot of players must fast travel quite a bit. The first time my character got Sanguinare Vampiris at dusk the screen turned red and the message "You feel a strange thirst as the sun sets" appeared. I immediately checked my Active Effects and saw the disease and cured it. Later on when I wanted another character to become a vampire the three day wait seemed to take forever and I saw several warnings. However, I can see if you fast travel a lot how the disease could sneak up on you.

To cure vampirism, either override it by joining the Companions and becoming a werewolf, or alternatively purchase and fill a Black Soul Gem and take it to Falion in Morthal. He will then cure your vampirism.
If you're a Stage Four vampire, you can't do much. Reload the save.

Reload the save. No other PS3 game has ever, EVER required me to do that. :stare:
