How can I tell Bethesda BIGUP! (so they hear it)

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 12:33 pm

Only signed up her to be able to search for technicals, but seeing all the hate made me try to formulate something positive . . .
This Game is Off-The-Hook! Insane amount of choices, next level graphix and all kinds of enemies (from easy to hard).
It kind of confuses me to se how many posters want to tell others how much they hate it here. Why not just move along to the next game? Its not like its to few to chose from ? Im not saying criticism is bad, but mentioning every possible negative feeling you have is not criticism.

So to make it clear, BIGUP Bethesda! Loving your work here! Thanks for saving this winter!

(the only thing that needs a mention is, why cant I have a philosophical discussion with Paarthurnax, at-least don't rub it in by letting him tell me i don't wont it . . .)

Amazing game, thanks!

Haters gonna hate.

Tons of us love it. It's just like youtube people... they go watch videos to things they know they don't like or won't like only to post crap on the commentboard.

I don't know why one would waste their time in doing so. I mean I do not like Bieber, but I'm not wasting my time posting on his youtube videos.

Lol same basic idea. Trolls are real, and they have access to the internet.

Your a failure as far as critics go.

Making statements without arguements to support them is easy!

Skyrim is great as a game, it could be better and there is potential for more.
But the product sold is enough value for my money and I believe countless others.
Beats any other game that came out this year for me.

But this being the internet it's a suprise so few people complained as they did. (with which I mean unconstructive whine posts)
I think we have the moderators to thank for that.

Ok, I am truly convinced. What was I thinking playing for 1000 hrs.

@ OP I agree, I think...what is a BIGUP? You want to give them a large drink from the 7-11?

Honestly from the title I thought it was a new auto censor word.

this is how one part of the internet wants to explain it . . .

big up

(noun) origin - jamaican 1980s. singular and plural.
1. An expression of support or encouragement.
2. An expression of remembrance.

I should probably be more accurate with my expressions . . .

Skyrim is awesome, but I think they went too hog wild making lots of content that the game doesn't have that personal touch that makes it epic. It lacks the count hasildor's and other NPC's which give you fond memories. The quests are sort of simple fetch quests, player mages are weak and lack utility spells, and there isn't any decent loot so I have no desire to be a thief. You can't make any choices which change the world. The difference between the stormcloaks and empire is the color of their uniforms. Dragons aren't really doing anything, at least kvatch got destroyed, sort of. Their big slogan do what you want be who you want falls short because they removed too many attributes and abilities and spells which allowed that in Oblivion. Now everyone is the same speed, even horses are no faster than people. I cannot fall huge distances or walk on water or jump on roof tops. I cannot carry 1000 pounds of loot anymore, or open locks with magic.

I could go on and on about little things which other elder scrolls games have done better. Overall Skyrim is probably the best one, but those little things can often be missed which is why people complain because such a great game could be epic with a little more polish and attention to where it matters.

and little more needs to be said from the "haters" who care enough to note these things , You might feel the need to pat them on the back but they are swimming in moneyz and praise. its only peeps like the OP that think the dissent is massive, rampant and needs countering ;p lets talk more about Skyrim, and less about the "haters" mmk :P.

Kudos to you for getting your enjoyment, your not the only one ;p

Skyrim is a good game but it could have been great if they took the extra time to polish it and remove so many bugs before release.

Also more depth to the systems within the game would have been an added bonus as well.

The game world itself is second to none it ties with Vvardenfell Island as some of the most interesting game worlds ever created. Skyrims dungeons are also great and always interesting to explore, I just wish they had more branching paths but as a whole they are a massive improvement over Oblivions.

You are most welcome. Beth did have you in mind when they designed it, seeing there was a shortage of games for your age.

A truly great game has the accessibility for a child of 11, and still depth enough for an advlt.

Most people are happy with Skyrim but they're off playing and trying to avoid the grumpy Grelkas here. The game's incredible and incredibly fun...what a world. Don't be put off...the moaners are pretty easy to ignore. Believe me, life is short enough. If it was a game I didn't like, I wouldn't use the minutes of my life crying about it; I'd find something else I liked. Welcome to the forums. Have a http://images.uesp.net//c/c4/Fishystick.jpg :tes:

i dont wanna blame the game
i played already much more time then the money i paid was worth
and i dont wanna count the hours i spend searching for mods(yea its fun for me searching for mods etc no joke!)
but a few points annoy me each time i log in
1. why are ususal mobs (bandits, thalmor etc) sometimes stronger then a dragon? thats a bit strange imho! and also giants/mammoths will win versus a dragon any day
2. the puzzles in dungoens arent really ones (thats sad... i LOOOOOVE puzzles)
3. im missing rly rly deep dungoens where you could spend several hours puzzling + exploring + searching

besides that
its the best game ive played in years

This is my favorite post..... Of all time.
"haters gunna hate"?, damn right we are.
I waited a long time for Skyrim, only to be greeted by a 12yrolds dream come true. "an endless world, full of crap to kill, crap to steal, crap to marry, no meaningful dialoge... So go ahead n skip it, it really doesn't matter. No confusing things that RPGs have like stats or classes. You can be Arch Mage, even if you aren't a Mage, leader of the thieves guild after doing a few home burglaries. Oh and not to mention a DRAGON(little kids start screaming in excitement) oh and don't worry about killing quest givers..... Because you CAN'T, it's just like RL, NO consequences for your actions."

Your a failure as far as critics go.

Making statements without arguements to support them is easy!

You need arguments to support an opinion nowadays? Kind of poor logic.

I'll agree with you on most things except the choices. The choices are shallow in comparison to Fallout, or even Mass Effect sometimes. And Mass Effect can get pretty shallow.
