Just installed FONV, closed Steam and restarted Steam. Hoping to see some indication of the patch(s) downloading. Anyone know? Thanks.

PS- There are no downloads listed in the Downloads section, and I did begin the game, in case that was necessary.

Steam should auto-update the game after a DVD install.
If you install directly from steam (as a download) then the game may already be up-to-date.
The latest version is 1.2.0.314

WIndows 7/vista
You can verify this by going into your fallout 3 new vegas directory, right click falloutnv.exe and select properties then the details tab.
The product version should be listed.

There should be a version tab for windows xp.

I bought it on DVD. I didn't see any install of patches occur, but it must have: The details tab lists it as 1.2.0.314
