You probably use fast travel... you're going to miss a lot of the encounters if you do. Sabre cats are in the North mountain area.

Not me. I killed them many times. They come in white (snow) and brown-gold.

Wow. That's a long time to not see one of the more plentiful beasts in the game. First time I saw one was when I was fighting a dragon and two sabre cats jumped into the melee. Thankfully I levelled up during the fight and got that "free" health refill, since I was almost out of health potions.

Spoiler
Take a walk up the road from Darkwater Crossing to Ivarstead - you'll meet one on the way. You'll find some walking from Windhelm to Winterhold, too.

As a assasin on master, melee combat with a sabre cat is the last thing I want.

I have seen so many, I just shout them away

I wish I didn't see so many. Most tend to appear when I've just finished a fight with something else. Not to mention they have the ability to appear out of nowhere like Houdini. Running along the road or cross country hearing the roars from directly behind me usually makes me wish for a nice not-stealthy easy to spot flame-breathing dragon....

I`m calling fibs.

It`s impossible to play 250 and never see one sabre cat. They are every where. Even if you do fast travel you`ll bump into one at some point, somewhere and it`ll likely kill you.

250 hours and not ONE sabre cat seen? No way.

I don't see many in my playthroughs,...but when I do it is horrible timing. After fighting a dragon or getting ambushed by thugs or Thalmor then one just happens to pop out and have a go at me lol.

At 250 hours on the same character? they should be pouring out of the pc,you better go walkabout, take lots of potions if you do decide to stand and fight.

I tend to agree.

Pretty much impossible to play 250 hours and not see a Sabre Cat. Unless maybe you do something like fast travel between every city. In which case you probably never saw a bear either.

My mage hits them with a Calm spell and then gets away from them as quickly as she can.

Because God smiles upon you. I remember upon creating my Altmer and going the opposite direction of Riverwood after leaving Helgen, I was level 1 and ran into a Sabre Cat..had to re-load several times and sprint/heal to safety at level 1.

I still don't understand why Sabre Cats are able to follow you so unrelentingly. There's no way a cat that large could have that much stamina.

I also don't understand why Sabre Cats are aggressive towards khajiit.

I felt so godlike when I had levelled enough and killed my first bear.

Sorry I don`t, because you come up with pretty much an unlikley statement, then you tell us absolutely nothing at all about how you play or what you do that might explain this phenomenon that no one else has. You`ve seen bears, yes? rabbits yes? Foxes, yes? Spiders, yes?

Yet in 250 hours you`ve never seen a sabre cat, one of the most vicious creatures that takes delight in ruining every adventurer`s day?

Haha! And I have a bridge to sell as well.
