How could i make a "monk" class?

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 8:39 am

Since this game doesnt have hand-to-hand as a level-able skill, or melee staves, im kind of lost at how to go about doing this.

I tried just using my hands for quite a while, except punching a dragon in the face got me incinerated. Anyone have any success creating this type of character yet?

Well, there are items that would increase your hand to hand rating, if you disenchant one you could make a whole suit of dragon-puncing.

hand to hand is pretty useable at early levels but grows more useless at high levels

Get monk robes and live either alone or with any number of monks, while always maintaining some degree of physical separation from those who do not follow your ideals.

Go to Riften and hang around. The game will drop in your lap an item that can be used to turn your character into Mike Tyson.

Monk. Um... Restoration, Alteration, Illusion, Destruction, Alchemy, Enchantment, and Speech. Use Staffs and Hand to Hand as weapons. The Lord Stone would probably best fit a monk from an RP perspective - and definitely the Blessing of Mara.

H2H is viable, though I haven't tried it yet so I don't know how viable it is.

You could get your heavy armour skill to a 30 to get the Heavy handed perk and then use heavy armour gauntlets. Then work on your enchanting, get the item... Which I will not mention, that increases hand to hand damage by 15 points. Oh and be a Khajiit. Fifteen points of hand-to-hand damage base, plus fifteen from the enchantment, and Legendary Daedric gloves..... Makes you a hand-to-hand master.

Get some heavy armor stuff and invest in the gauntlet thing. Get some robes and go with that. Get that fist of pugilism thing from the Ratway. If you can, try to disenchant it and spread the love around.

Oh, and play as a Khajiit.

ive never played an animal character in TES games before, i usually stick to nord, dunmer, or orsimer. this may give me a reason to go khajiit for once.

its true. when will the creation kit be out, jan 1st or late january? waiting on a player made mod that might be buggy and subpar like 90% of the player made mods isnt very reliable though. i waited 4 years of morroblivion and it ended up svcking more than anything.

Has anyone found a console command to raise jump height? That would befit a martial artist, or Monk as well.
