I apologize for the back to back posts, but nearly all of my posts come from my Sony X10 Android. Not my Pc.
Then how about say $200 via paypal per winner? Or cheque? Direct Deposit?
It should be quite easy to make $100,000 / dlc. Thats just about 25,050 sales across 2 platforms. Easy cash flow, low investment. Less tax and fees.
ARE YOU LISTENING BETHESDA / OBSIDIAN?
ok first off, Bethesda would need to go in and do bughunting and QA work after the fact, and often with poor documention. also they would need to stip out any high rez texturs and some of the animations and effects that are not suported on Xbox or properly suported on the PS3, and make sure that no inapropreate content slips in.
they would also need to make sure that said mod did not include items created by other people. most of the Big mods have over a dozen people who contributed bits and pieces to it. many of them not realy that well IDed. (one mod I know of lists 37 people AND also mentioned that there were others that he knew he missed because they had contributed bits to the mods he had borrowed items from)
Incidentaly that creats a whole new can of worms because some people insist on THERE mods being free. Im one of them.
Quite frankly while I peronaly have no problem with Beth makeing money from the game, and have payed for all of the DLC they have made for all of there games, any mods I have put out are strictly going to places that allow free access to them. Period, End of discution. If Beth wants to put my stuff up for free distribution to Xbox and PS3 thats fine with me.
Also like I pointed out, Bethesda has a history of trying to hire people who make the better mods. (depending on the subcompany of Zenimax, between half and 80% of the current staff made mods for Morrowind, Quake Obivion or other games created by that company)
