How do I delete my EA account?

Post » Wed Nov 30, 2011 12:25 pm

I just tried to change the email I have registered with EA, but in order to do so I had to create a Master ID, which I couldn't do because absolutely everything I entered in was, apparently taken, including 'argynomnom.' I don't even know what a Master ID is, there was no help link, when I went to the contact section it asked what product I was asking for help with, even though I don't want help with a product I just want to get rid of my account at this point! I put in a random product and then my options were either live chat or a phone call, neither of which I want to do.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I don't want an account registered there at all at this point, is there any way to get past this stupid Master ID thing?? I also checked the forum, the answers either made no sense to me, or thy were told to go to the contact page, which I've done.

Mods: Sorry if this doesn't belong here, but it's late and I'm tired and angry.

*Edit* Thank you to the mod that fixed the title for me :)

I can't do anything to my profile, account or anything because of the 'Master ID' screen. I need to set this up to do anything, but it simply won't let me. Everything is, apparently, taken, so I'm either doing something wrong, or it's messing up.

Literally all I can do is log in, and log out. Nothing else :(

Best go to the https://customersupport.ea.com/loginapp/cp/login.do?skin=ea&locale=en_US&curl=http://support.ea.com/app/home&surl=http://support.ea.com/ci/pta/login&p_next_page=chat%2Flivechat_launch. Usually you only need to wait 2-3 minutes to get an advisor and the EA support staff is incredibly helpful.

Egh, I'd really rather not, it sounds totally stupid but I have seriously weird phobias regarding that sort of thing. I was hoping someone on here could shed some light, live chat will be an absolute last resort.
I know it sounds ridiculous, but...that's how I am :pinch:
