How did you become a part of the Bethesda forums community?

Post » Tue Aug 30, 2011 2:33 pm

I am curious how you guys stumbled upon the forums, and became a member before you knew it

For me, after I got Oblivion, I had LOADS of questions, so I looked up "elder scrolls forums" and found this site. I haphazard my username since I had one question, then I had more, and then started answering a few people's questions, then I guess I got connected to the community and stuck with my account :tops:

I heard about Skyrim, signed up originally for the Skyrim boards so I could keep tabs on any announcements about it, eventually got annoyed with all the arguing that goes on over there, and now i spend most of my time in Community Discussion.

Joined this place to see if the community as a whole was as disappointed with Oblivion as I was. They were, more or less.

This is not my original account.

Pretty sure it was when I needed help finding that damn Puzzle Cube. IIRC Alexander told me how to do it. Stayed for the mods.

I used to post over in the Xbox.com Morrowind forum, then that place started to die out. I found this place through the official Elder Scrolls website and lurked for a long while until I joined up as "Outlander1621" back in February 09, but then I realized no one had "Outlander" so I made this new account. :P

Some Morrowind question way back when (second account, I've been around here longer than it looks).

I started reading this when Fallout 3 came out. I finally joined when there were a lot of things I could answer in the Fallout NV forum, and well that died out, so I came here. Now I play Werewolf.

It was back in 2006 when I stumbled upon the forums through the Elder Scrolls website, didn't really have any reason to come here, but it became resourceful after a while with the mods, hardware and spoiler sections. Of course back then I had another account, but it seems to have been deleted after the last forum purge. I miss my stars, I felt so special with them. :sadvaultboy:

I honestly don't remember how I stumbled upon these forums, but once I did find them I lurked around for a month or two before finally registering to ask a question regarding the Thieves Guild and The Escutcheon of Chorrol quest, and the consequences of completing that quest a certain way. Pretty simple, but it was the first time I had played through the Thieves Guild and didn't want to screw myself out of the best fence in the game, nor did I want to give up that shield. I kept the shield, It was more useful to me anyway.

I found this place while trying to find the release time of Mothership Zeta.

I returned when NV was announced. I have since been forced out of the NV general discussion and now spend my time in community. I feel like I retired :sadvaultboy:

I'm a stalker and lurk on forums hunting developers like the Predator Creature making trophies of them. :chaos:

Speaking seriously I bought the GOTY Edition of FO3 and joined the forum to get insight into the game. After I ran my course with FO3 I moved on down to the CD page here where i've lived somewhat happily ever since. Though some of the moderators might wish I would disappear due to my antics. ;)
