How on earth do you create a collision object? (Skyrim)

Post » Mon Jul 02, 2012 1:19 pm

I've got Blender, Nifscripts, 3DS max.

All the stuff. And for an upcoming patch for a mod I am working on, I need the armor piece to appear on mannequins and to roll or make contact and appear on the ground when dropped.

I was told I would need a collision object.

Now how on earth do I add one or make one for my armor piece, I do not know where to start. It is a CUSTOM piece. So no importing from vanilla mesh's for me.

Any tutorials or whatnot would be helpful.

Short answer: You don't

Long answer: You copy it from another object. I don't know the details, sorry.

The NIFScripts still aren't that far along for Skyrim. This is trivial for Oblivion.
