I received a quest from a Jarl named "Skald". He told me to kill a dragon for him. When I finish this quest, the quest is still open as "Collect bounty from Skald" in the Misc. quest page. This Skald guy won't talk to me anymore. How to successfully close this quest? Help!

You can't, AFAIK. That entry, and the quest he sent me on, are both stuck in my journal, even though completed. And don't get me started on Esbern.

Thats hardly necessary. if you think something should be moved to spoilers, report it. dont abuse the OP, especially when theyre a noob.

No, they never go away. In a previous playthrough I had 6 "Collect Bounty from Skald" in my journal. Now I just don't do those Dawnstar quests as they never go away and its pesky having your journal list cluttered with junk.

They didn't bother fixing this bug in the latest patch either. All they have to do to fix this is add a tick next to the close quest box for the last stage of that quest. In this case I would have to say its just laziness on their part.

It's my very first thread in this forum. I thought this is merely a question about potential bug. If I really spoiled something, I'm sorry.

Bounty quests turned in to Skald will not be removed from the quest journal upon completion, and cannot be removed with the console.

Sad....I'll avoid this guy next time.
