Not true. My manequin in Markarth has spawned multiple items. 1st it was ebony shields, then deadric shields, then Angient Nord Gaunlets, and now Gold diamond necklaces.

I think it depends on what and when things are equipped to it. I haven't been able to figure out how to get it to spawn what I want yet though.

That's deep, man... LOL

My mannequins in Honeyside/Riften are glitchy as hell. When I first equipped them 1 had full Daedric and the other had full Glass, each with a silver ring/necklace. They both glitched out and dissapeared on me. I left the house and wend back in and the armor sets miraculously re-appeared. So I decided to upgrade those armors to Legendary with various enchanments. Left and came back and the armors are there but all the enchantments and improvments are gone. So I decided not to use them any more. I remove all the gear. My next visit to the house random Glass and Dadric armor pieces, about 3 each mannequin are now on there and I'm like WTF?

LOL Wise words indeed!

Uhm, the only issue I have with mannequins is that they wander about the lower part of my house in Riften. I equipped one with the TG armor and I went downstairs to brew some potions. I drew my swords when I saw a THIEF standing in my Housecarls room!!!!!!!!! Then I noticed it was JUST the flippin' mannequin! LOL

I never lost gear though on any mannequin, or had the duplication thing happening. o.0

So far I've found my solitude house to not have too many glitches, although it did used to do the elven armor thing. My riften mannequins seems to play hide and seek and show up in weird spots.

I had a lot of scary glitches in my markarth house, like rare items in chests disappearing, so personally I wouldn't risk using anything in that house.

Wasn't this supposed to be fixed with 1.4? Disappointing.

I had no issues with mannequins in any of the "vanilla" player houses - until I added mods to provide the crafting stations, storage etc. that were missing in the vanilla houses. After that.... well, it was Katy Bar The Door - and even though I've got rid of most of the mods in favor of player-house mods (so I don't have to dink around with the city houses at all) I'm still having mannequin issues. The one thing I did NOT get rid of is the mod to make the mannequins female - I mean, WHY would I (who never EVER play a male toon) want male mannequins?

So yeah, the stuff is rather glitchy. It's okay, I can deal with that. At least I no longer have the moving, breathing mannequin in the Honeyside Smithy (a mod....) Now THAT was flat creepy.

Your mannequin is a Thalmor spy. It showed its true allegiance since it never removes its elven armor and wants to destroy your awesome loot so you are weaker during the inevitable Thalmor invasion. Your best bet is to move somewhere else less it call an Thalmor hit squad on your or steals your stuff.
