Gotta find an Amulet of Mara, then go to the temple of Mara in Riften and talk to the priest over there about marriage, and then find specific NPC's who can be married. Some NPC's, if not most, will ask you to do a quest for them prior to allowing you to marry him/her.

^^ It can't just be any Amulet of Mara - it has to be the one he sells you. And you can't have another one on your person when you initiate dialogue with him, or it won't work.

i never bought an amulet of mara from the priest when i got married, i used one i found. In fact i never spoke to him at all, didnt know he existed, just showed up at the temple after jordis proposed marriage.

The armor that Aela wears can be forged at the Skyforge once you complete the Companion main quest line. It will be under Daedric armor.

You have to talk to the priest about marriage, but you can use an amulet from loot.

Complete the Companions Guild line and you can smith your own set and there's another place where you can find an Ancient Nord Armor (Just the curiass), it's some cave in the south filled with mages.

I also found a pair of the boots outside of shriekwind bastion** (the main entrance, closest to the Lake), when you go up and around the path above the entrance. There is a chest under an arch. Nearby, there is a brazier. When i went through, a pair of boots were either on the ground beside the brazier, or in the brazier bowl itself.
