How to get Notepad++ to save as, and read .psc?

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 11:24 pm

I've just installed Notepad++ and it's really nice with the Auto Complete and Syntax Highlighting, but I ran into a couple problems. First it took me a bit of research to get the compiler to work, and now that that's working I'm running into a wall I think because I can't seem to save my scripts in .psc I can't read them either with Notepad++ Even though in the tutorials it goes on like it's supposed to... What am I missing?

When you save a file, just add ".psc" to the end of the filename, and it'll be saved as the correct type. In order to make Notepad++ the default editor for *.psc files, right click on one of them, and select "Open with...", then select Notepad++ with the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" checkbox checked.

There's actually a http://www.creationkit.com/Notepad%2B%2B_Setup on how to get it setup that includes syntax highlighting, if you want to use that.
