You mean the strip? you need a pass to get into vegas.

He means you either need a Passport from Mick and Ralph's for 500 caps and a speech check or reputation with the King, or 2,000 caps to get in w/o the Passport.

Not really a quest but you can do alot of favors for the KING and he will get you into Vegas. : )

Go in to Freeside (on the northern end of New Vegas) and head south. You'll eventually come across a large entrance guarded by robots. If you have two thousand caps on you they'll let you in (they don't take the money, they're just checking to see if you have something to spend at the casinos). You can also get a pass which is 500 caps I believe, and if your science is high enough you can pass through with some unique dialogue.

If you're liked well enough by the NCR there are some alternates but I haven't tried this myself.

Tried that. I ran for about 15 minutes and ran completely on the west side from the south to the north. Rather just know because I want to see the city.

It said if DT is higher than DAM (damage) it's a weaker gun.

Easiest way in to vegas, go to camp McCarran, go into the airport's top level and open the door to the monorail. The NCR troops will shoot at you but don't shoot back, just board the monorail. The NCR won't be hostile afterwards and you can always come back to the strip. Or you could be nice to the NCR beforehand and they won't shoot you
