I'm just wondering how good my laptop is. I'm not sure if it's a higher-end computer or medium-end or whatever. I always thought it was an OK laptop, but I'm not really sure anymore since I wasn't able to run certain games on medium or high graphic settings.

I'm not sure if this is enough to tell anything, but it was all that I was able to find out about my laptop:

MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Anthlon X2 Dual-Core QL-64 2.10 GHz, 4.0GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics

RAM is good
CPU is aging, but still holds up decently for games
GPU, it will run older games ok, but its really not meant for games. It would run Oblivion at about low (maybe a touch of medium).

I had the ATI Radeon HD 3300 onboard for a month or so and it ran Oblivion at medium fairly well.

I ran Oblivion at the default medium settings (with the largest wide-screen resolution) without any problems. I just hope it will do the same for Skyrim.

Well, the amount of RAM you have isn't too bad for a mid-range PC, but you did forget one of the more important things: your processor speed. You can find it by going to Control Panel->system and security->system.

My laptop is close to those specs and it can run most games on medium-low without too much trouble. It can't run the more graphics intensive stuff such as Crysis 2 or The Witcher 2 though.

I can't find my processor speed. I went to where you said to go, but it says nothing about processor speed there.

It'll be under "processor" on that screen.

For example, mine says "AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core QL-64 2.10 Ghz" That last bit is the important part.

Oh. It says 2.10 GHz. Looks like ours are very similar.

Then yeah, you're going to be getting similar performance to me. Games like Half-life 2, Team Fortress 2, FEAR, Counter-Strike: Source, and Oblivion all run fine on medium settings for me. FEAR can actually run on high with a decent framerate.

Our processors are too slow for The Witcher 2 and other processor-intensive games though.
