How long will you play?

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 11:43 pm

I have never played Morrowind before, I started on Oblivion and Morrowind has been out for many years, no less than 8 I know that and it seems like a lot of you are still playing that game after all these years. So, my question is, how long do you think you'll be playing Skyrim for? Is Skyrim something you think you'll be playing well after the next Fallout and TES 6, or is it a game you'll play a few times, but after you've done everything never go back?

Post your reasons why! I'm curious to see your answers.

Short answer, no. I doubt it will be as... "timeless" as older games, if you understand.

I even play Arena and Daggerfall from time to time. Skyrim will last forever as well.

I played twice through and now the game is in a box in the basemant. It'll come out again- there just isn't the eagerness to play it as much as other Elder scrolls games.

I don't hate Skyrim, I like it. But it's a just a game, or even just a good game. It's not a special great game. the hours I spent inside Skyrim are long by industry standards, over 400 hours. I'd get 400 hours in Oblivion on a single character....

This game does not have anywhere near the same replay value. It's just a good game.

Until TES VI.

Sigh, even Morrowind died for me recently.

I'm not playing the next Fallout though :ermm:

Impossible to tell. Why I may want to play it for the next 10 years but a seagull could steal my copy tomorrow.

Skyrim is a game you can play forever since it has a really high replay value.

Most likely until D3 or GW2 comes out. Skyrim is a game that you can keep going back to, though.

I will always have a build on the go. It's probably the most playable game out imo. It's not without it's issues though. But i haven't come across anything game breaking yet (360) I am still yet to download any patches or updates, i'm still playing the version released on 11.11.11. It's all gravy....

I'll likely be playing on and off right up until the next release, mods and messing with the CK will keep me playing long after Skyrim becomes stale.

I still play MW.
For me a lot will depend on mods. Can modders flesh out and improve on things like crafting, marriege, followers, factions? How much new content will they come up with?

I will play this version until Diablo 3 comes out. (Unless something catastrophic happens and release gets pushed way back) By the time I'm bored with D3, which could be a LONG time, I might come back to play a heavily modded version with all the expansion material. After that it will be one of those games that I will come back to every few years. Until next TES that is... :drag:

EDIT: Spelin is harrd.
