How to make master difficulty even more harder?

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 9:41 pm

1) I think frist thing is stop using conjuarion, enchanting, and smithing because they making game too easy. Especially conjuration.

2) Stop using another second "overpowered" abilities is 1handed+shield.

3) Using worst possible gear and weapons in game

4) Going to high level locations with low level char

5) (Master difficulty since 1lvl,and no cheats like abusing bad AI pathfinding in some place)

For example i died 10-15 times vs some group of mobs (when i was low lvl), but i learned that with perfect block/run/hit timing i still kill them.

Any other suggestions?

use advlevel to advance your level without getting the related skill increases, making your enemies much stronger while you remain weak?

I don't understand why people feel the need to make the game absurdly difficult. I don't see the fun in getting killed 10+ times from even a remotely powerful enemy.

I can understand people wanting to overcome greater challengers and the sense of accomplishment from doing so. But stuff like this is ridiculous! No smithing or enchanting? Purposefullly using bad gear? No level ups?

Thats not even playing the game if you ask me. Your cutting yourself off from the full experience of the game.

You can always download a mod to make it more difficult. I recommend http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=6176

What's the point anyways of playing it on hard? There's no trophy/achie. So just play it on normal.

People don't play on harder difficulties in games for the achievements or trophies, at least not with Elder Scrolls games.

I play on harder difficulties because normal enemies just aren't challenging, when I'm in a fight I want to feel like I can actually get killed by this opponent rather than knowing with a few swings of a sword I'll kill him. Each battle becomes more tactical, blocking, retreating, healin potions/spells, coaxing the enemy into a trap. All these things become more important, which for me makes combat a helluva lot more fun.
