How I make skyrim more difficult on master

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 5:37 pm

1) No potions or food can be consumed while fighting enemies

2) No stealth. It's terribly flawed and makes enemies dumber than usual.

3) I'm thinking of becoming a vampire and only fighting during the day.

any other tips??

Don't forget: no healing spells during combat. If you get injured, you can't just shrug it off.

Combine that with "no kiting", and you're in for a rough ride. Make friends with atronachs. :)

Does it really take all this for you guys? Are you all Skyrim super men or something?

Just by abandoning health potions, refusing to perk any crafting skills and using reasonable armor (my thief is level 58 wearing legendary hide lol) I've made the game very difficult on Expert.

Do what I did an only use lower grade weapons and armor. No upgrading either. The only enchantments you should use are one you can buy since it's hard to find high number ones. I am playing master and I love it. I downgraded everything and now my enemies feel like enemies and a boss feels like a boss. You know your overpowered when a giant hits you on master and your health doesn't go down.

Oh and turn all auto save off, except save on character screen and set the timer to 30 minutes. Then if you die you're actually punished

Well obviously don't do that. Restrict yourself to only the timed auto save!

Turn the brightness of your TV or Monitor down so you can hardly see a thing,
Sit in a totaly diffrent room to the TV & Console when playing,
Use only one hand for your controller,
Get a foreign language book and read it aloud (translated if you can) as you play.

Definitely avoid actively leveling smithing, enchanting, alchemy or ignore them completely. It makes gold much more valuable and vendor items useful.

Stealth is fine if you don't put any points in health. You'll screw up from time to time and an arrow or 2 from trash mobs will kill you.
The problem is becoming invincible with 800 health and max armor/magic resists in my opinion.

Play like Leroy Jenkins. I wonder if that is a viable playthrough style....

when it comes to saving, i wont save during combat. i will dispose of all enemies or the boss enemy in that area before i save

and i will definitely be a vampire though i wont raise illusion or sneak

but is there anything that can completely stop health regeneration? i need stamina and magicka but i dont want health. ill only refill my health when i am safe and have time to myself

No armor, no clothing. Run around only in a loincloth.

No shrine blessings. Since you're already not using potions, any diseases you get will be permanent.

No fast travel.

No followers.

No looting. You can take only things you absolutely need, anything else gets left behind. (by extension, this means no houses- you don't need one and won't be able to afford it anyway.)

Set difficulty to master. Use the console to make you like 200+. Get one hitted by mudcrabs ( probably not that but you get the idea)>

But once you've discovered everything and quest A requires you to travel across skyrim to deliver some random item?
