Someone tried telling me they stop @ level 50? I said then why the hell does the cap go to 81?

I find it hard to believe I'm going to level up 31 times and receive 0 perk points for it....but Ive only made it to level 47 before I gad to begin a new character, and Im at level 43 now so if it does happen to be true I guess ill be saving the last 7 I get.

They do go up to 81. There is a 'soft cap' at level 50, because thats when the enemies seem to stop scaling with you.
