How Many Pounds Have You Packed On?

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 3:18 am

My character is permanently stuck with nearly 100 extra pounds that I can't do anything about. Quest items that would not get removed after finishing quests is all to blame. This really needs to get patched. Can't believe that they allowed so many of the same stupid glitches in Oblivion to not be fixed long before Skyrim was even considered for release.

So how fat is your character?

I can carry around ~50 pounds, so I never pick up more than that in-game.

I also use console commands to get rid of quest items.

It doesn't matter, other than just being in the inventory list. The have no actual weight.

Quest items have no weight, so they are only taking up space in the list in your inventory screen.

That was what I thought at first. I play more and eat less. So actually I have lost weight.

I commute 30+ miles a day, 5 days a week on a bike. Skyrim can't touch that.

Hmmmm...I have about 15 Benzhial stones and some quest items that weren't removed... (But, with the Steed constellation, it helps...and also the perk that adds 100 weigth capability.)

If your carrying too much weight and you don't know what it is, then its your potions. At irst I thought it was all the quest items, until i found out they weight 0, then I dropped all my potions which weight 0.5 each. I had 300 of them, thats 150 pounds of weight. I went from 222 pounds to 72 pounds...........

Like mentioned, even an item with a weight, if it's flagged as a quest item it will weight nothing.

That and scrolls. Scrolls also weigh .5 lbs. each and it's easy to accumulate a bunch of them without realizing you are doing it. I never really use scrolls, so I dumped all the ones I had recently and dropped close to 50 lbs.

About the weightless quest items, does the same go for Heavy and Light Armour when you have the proper perk for them? The one that makes them 'weightless', according to description?

Anyways, I usually sit around a 100 when I have my entire adventuring kit on. If I go on a long trek and loot a lot, I sometimes weigh up to 450 or something, thank the Nine for the Steed Stone.

That perk makes the armor go weightless when you wear it, so when it's just sitting in your inventory you'll still have the full weight of it.
