How many saves in your game?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 8:49 pm

How many times have you saved in your game so far? Im 104 hours in and around 500+ saves in my first playthrough. I got used to saving often years ago, and its been rewarded several times when my game crashes.

Absolutely loads. As I got burned after having companions run away and disappear forever, each save now has my companion in sight so that I know that they haven't run off when I'm not looking - so most of my save screenshots are just Boone looking awkward in different locations...

I thought I was bad with 400 saves in 69 hours. I hereby award the Obsessive Saver Award to Foftw :trophy:

Yeah good idea. I was going in and out of the sewers last night and realized Ed-e and Veronica were AWOL. I was able to find them and the Wiki talked about a small glitch so I was able to get them out. Now I will check to be sure they are there before saving. I save often and after any combat or difficult situation just to be safe. Haven't really had any issues but better safe than sorry.

Current character, 17 saves, 10 hours play, though most of those saves are because I'm modding, I use saves for testing.

My first (and only) entirely complete game w/1 character was about 30-40 saves I think. But since then I've made a lot of other characters and save constantly so I can reload/replay/test stuff....so maybe about 400-450 total now. I copy saves for each character into separate folders somewhere else on my disc and exchange them out depending who I want to play. Drives me to distraction that there aren't 'by character' save game lists. Scrolling through 500+ saves is no fun!

After I finished, I moved selected saves to a memory stick and deleted the rest. Took forever, but it was somewhere around 125 seperate saves.

A lot... Just sayin'

When it's come to video games created with one of Bethesda's engines I have learned to save loads.

None atm I delete often, after I get bored with a character or complete the goals set out.
When I play a character I keep 3 saves which I use on and off, depending on when I want to make sure.

I save often, every few minutes or after anything significant, but sometimes over an old save I know I don't need for any reason (PS3).

No idea, but I know it's in the hundreds. I also rotate around 5 different saves to prevent losing too much game time if I have to load an earlier save for whatever reason. Think of it as windows restore points.
