Oh dear, that's not going to make you very popular at all.
Since you plainly come from COD I'll say it straight, there are two 'light rifles' with attachable scopes - one called the Drognav (basically a FAL in damage profile) the other is the bolt action 'barnett' (like a weak wa2000). In short there are no OHK (only to unbuffed lights - rare)

There's no reason to berate new members for not knowing about all aspects of Brink, let's try and be more courteous.

Two.

No insta-kills, at all. The only thing close to a insta-kill is to fire a certain buffed long rifle at a un-buffed light in the head, which shouldn't happen to often. It is almost impossible to headshot a light due to the fact that they are incredibly swift and nimble with S.M.A.R.T. at their side.

They are called long rifles for a reason.

It's a one shot, one incapacitated if your Long Rifle was buffed by an engineer and you fire it at a unbuffed Light player on the other team.

Two "Long rifles". They are not sniper rifles because they do not snipe.

You have the Dragnov Long Rifle. No Headshot instant kills, but two shots to anyone will incap them. Three shots for a Heavy. Fast firing at 3 shots a second.

You have the Barnett Long Rifle. Still no Headshot instant kills, UNLESS you headshot a Light. Two shots to the body will incap anyone. A Barnett bullet is the strongest single shot in the game, however, the Barnett is a bolt-action rifle and takes two seconds between each shot.

The Barnett does not need to be buffed to incap lights.

There is also a semi-auto assualt rifle that you may be interested in, the Rokstedi.

Its weaker per shot than the two Long Rifles, but a more balanced gun overall. Its limited to Medium players, however; where Long Rifles are a light player weapon.

The Barnett does not need to be buffed to incap lights.

It was an assumption that started when people heard that the Barnett could kill lights in the head. People rationalized it by saying "a buff must be required". I've spent a lot of effort trying to point out that we dont really know that, but i think it would just be easier to wait 24 hours at this point, and let the game prove them wrong.

Quickscoping will be unnecessary in Brink. All weapons fire just fine from the hip.

As they do in all games, however majority of people will use the sights! and should.

As was said, there are two rifles that fall into the generalized category of high precision rifles; Light or Long rifles in Brink. You can add a scope to most of the other weapons as well though.

The bolt action Barnett, according to information from the strat guide, does 125 points of damage per shot, which is enough to drop a light body type (120 hps) unless he is buffed in some way (of which there are several). We don't know the details on added damage from headshots, but we do know there is some, so a headshot may be able to drop unbuffed characters of another body type (mediums with 140 hp, heavies with 180 hp) but it's speculation at the moment. You can also get buffs to your weapon damage to increase the chances of dropping buffed characters in one shot.

There are no known OHKs in the classic sense, but there are some OH incapacitations, the difference being that a medic can still save you while you are incapacitated.

And I apologize for some of the more insulting commentary tossed your way, but there is a high level of "dislike" for snipers around here so it seems like there's no good way of avoiding it.

I think it is funny someone asks about sniper rifles and people assume CoD...

I have VERY accurate aim from Q3A and now Quakelive. I wouldn't worry OP though, If you are good at aiming use a good SMG and aim at the head =) drop them faster anyways.

Most people have started assuming that the Long rifles will be like sniper rifles in other games; where firing from the hip is hugely inaccurate. In those games, quickscoping is a way to avoid the horrible accuracy but still be able to aim without the scope.

I am aware that iron sights will have their place, but that place will not be a scoped Long Rifle in close combat.

why does everyone compare sniper rifles and OHK to COD mostly? There are sniper rifles in almost all games which give OHK...... Unreal Tournament~ "HEADSHOT!"
