Zero.

I don't use companions exactly because of this.

My companions haven't gotten me killed yet, not for lack of trying. I love Lydia and all the others I've ran around with but Im starting to think its time to go solo. Im sick and tired of companions jumping in front of my swings and arrows like they're programmed to be kamikazies. Its frustrating.

Quoted for truth.

Even on my sneaking characters, they always seemed to lag behind and die to some trap.

Went through a whole dungeon thinking Lydia was right behind me, turned around and was like, "Lydia?"

On the way out, find her corpse lying not far from where I placed a rune at the entrance.

I think traps are magnets for followers, really.

Never died because of a companion but if I had a soul gem for every time one of them stepped in front of an arrow...

I took the Khajiit from the academy, he died in a bog standard bandit quest (with dragon armour I might add). After that, I fly solo.

Ugh, never. The first time my idiot follower walked headlong into a trap I figured I was better off leaving them at the entrance so I could dump loot onto them until I was actually "done" with the dungeon.

Seriously- how many times does one need to step on an obvious pressure trap and get hit in the face with spikes in order to understand not to step on it? It's only amusing for awhile.

I've just stopped taking my Companion, Lydia, who I took with me for 48 levels. I'm playing a mage and I've finding it way more fun without her. I can use more spells without worrying about killing her. I was never able to use spells like Chain Lightning without risking hitting her too. Can't tell you how many times she ran in front of me just as I was letting go with an Incenerate or some other spell that killed her instantly. Lot's of reloads due to her stupidity. All I really had her for was to carry loot and money is no longer an issue so I don't really need her anyway. She did get me killed quite a few times simply because she would be in the way and I couldn't use the spell I needed to and something would come around and one shot me. Now that isn't an issue and combat is way more fluid and enjoyable. Unless they patch the companions to be unkillable by friendly fire I doubt I'll ever take one with me again.

I would be sooo annoyed if companions couldn't be hit by friendly fire. Sometimes they just need to die.

Give us a switch at least I suppose, but FF (no not Final Fantasy) should still be an option.

They've never got me killed, but I can't count the times they screwed up my sneak or pushed me out of a tunnel into an open area when they decide they want to charge out and attack something. I did have one gratifying bit of revenge last night. I was fighting a large group of enemies as a werewolf and Sven got in the way. After he got mad at me for clawing him (and I'm still fighting a three or four Silver Hand) I decide to go ahead and kill him...and eat him. :liplick: My character was only level 12 and Sven is worthless after these low levels, so why not?

I was looking over a clif for a way to get down when Lydia decided it would be fun to push me over the edge. I knew I was dead before I hit the bottom.

Once. I think.
The only time I can think of is a certain worshipper's of azura's flame antronauch exploding while I was on low health.
I on the other hand, as a master cryomancer, have killed many companions, and myself a lot of times. Generally I heal myself and my companions though.

this for me too. I've taken poor Lydia to her knee's before the fight gets started quite a few times. I always have to stop and give her some healing hands just after the enemy attacks.

My companions never got me killed, in fact they saved me tons of times. However, stupid Barbas always knocks into me and makes me accidentally steal stuff instead of talking to people.

My major complaint with companions like with every fight with npc's is give me some space dumb comapnions stand next to you get blasted in a spell and then attack you and dont stop, in reality you wouldnt stand within a swing, you would stand outside the arms and weapons length, so you dont get hit.

Not because of the companions, no. But once I was fighting 3 frostbite spiders near Riften, when this stupid courier appeared out of nowhere and initiated dialog. You guess the rest. And it was DiD game...

Same here. I'm more dangerous to my companions than they are to me.

Everytime I'm forced to use a companion they are down on one knee in the battle staying out of my way.
