Okej here, a word of advice.
Never ask someone how much they earn.

It's hardly a problem here. In the internet and on a board like this, you do not need to give any personal information, so it shouldn't be an issue.

£150 a week....
Not enough to afford all the useless tat I want to buy.

....But that should be set to change to either £0 or £150+, if I get kept on at the end of the year/start of next.
Fingers crossed.

Don't brag about it and keep quiet about that I heard the rebels are searching and killing your kind.

It doesn't matter dude.

People lie. Even if they tell the truth, it doesn't change anything. It's not like someone's going to stalk someone because of a post here.

I'm still in High School right now (Junior) so I'm working summer jobs. Last year I had the option of slinging inner-tubes (used to float down the http://www.floridarambler.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/ichetucknee2.jpg) or working at my dad's friend's Tree Nursery. My Dad's friend offered me a job all summer at minimum wage from 7am-5pm, compared to the 5am-8am work day at the tube place for a flat rate of $65 a day it was a no brainer to take the Nursery Job....or so I thought. Turns out my dad's friend has OCD and ADHD.....needless to say I worked my fingers to the bone HAND fertilizing about 1500 plants and watering them constantly, piling bags of fertilizer and compost into 15ft stacks, loading and unloading inventory, and cleaning the bathroom that never got used. All in all I made $700 after a few months (started in February) Got to the beginning of summer when I could work full time and not just on the weekends and guess what happens....he says he doesnt need me anymore. So I go to the tube place and ask if they still have a spot, and lucky old me gets told their full... :banghead:

So at the end of the summer I asked my friend how much he made slinging tubes and he said "Oh about $5,500, used it to fix up my truck pretty nice."

Therefore I am definitely not asking for a job from my dad's from again, and I'm definitely going to go to the Tube place first.

So there are apparently 11 people on these forums who earn more than $1,000,000 a year. What a coincidence! I just so happened to find myself in need of 11 new friends! :D

I'm going out on a limb and assuming the 11 votes for over a million are bogus.

I make around 50K in Industrial Maintenance. I fix machines that make stuff.

Experiance
6 years in the Navy as an electrician
31 years as a civilian doing, electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication, masonry, rough and finish carpentry, hydraulics, etc.

This is what it takes to make 50K, not a degree in who knows what with no experiance.

Actually if you have a technical degree with that much experience, you'll be making 3-5 times that amount depending on your location and skills.

Man, they need to pay you more. That's a terrible rate for a teacher, of any kind!

As for me, I make enough to live on and lavish myself with gifts from time to time, if I had to pay full rent..I'd be able to lavish myself with gifts a lot less than I do now. Regardless, I'm happy with what I make. It's the budgeting and knowing what bills come out when and making sure the bottom line is a certain number..type deal that's the hard part of it!
