How much skooma is "too much"?

Post » Sat Jul 07, 2012 8:36 am

Ok, question for the community... been playing my latest character - Eats-Many-Legs (Argonian Cannibalistic Shaman) and surprisingly... it's some of the most fun I've had without doing any quests. Simply running around the Reach and eating everything in sight... but.. I digress.

I'm playing him as being a skooma addict. Currently, I'm having him drink one bottle every morning... if for some reason he doesn't have his skooma, he'll go into a psychopathic rampage and head towards the nearest city. But my question is... how much skooma.. is too much? Or.. what would you think denotes a "skooma addict"? I'm thinking one bottle just isn't enough.

Unfortunately, there really isn't a "side-effect" other than being a hyped up energy drink, but, it's all in the essence of things.

It's just a stamina potion in Skyrim. The sleeping tree sap on the other hand...

Someone should really make a mod for Skooma addiction and some weird side effects.

I wish there was a way that your character could actually become addicted, like if you used skooma a few times you're hooked and have to have it or suffer health/stamina penalties.

The last Argonian I made was called Strikes-From-Shadows.

There is a mod for skooma addiction, I think. I don't use it. I use the one that makes skooma give a huge stamina boost for two days then makes the character unable to regenerate stamina for a bit. It just seems like the least tedious option for me. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9315 Here ya go.

Someone beat me to it. Oh well.

And so the Dragonborn failed to save Tamriel, after he OD'd on Skooma and was found at the base of the Throat of the World.....

Some say he jumped, some say Alduin pushed him, others say he was simply too skooma'd up and fell off.....

I don't get how Skooma is illegal but potion shops sell stamina potions by the crate load.

When you can't pay your bills because you have to have your fix of skooma. You need an intervention.

It's because it is extremely addictive for races that aren't Khajiit. Even Khajiit get addicted to skooma. They aren't as likely to be addicted to moon sugar as is, though. Moon sugar also is illegal because it is addictive for non-Khajiit. Visitors of Elsweyr have to be told to be careful what they eat there because most of the food is laced with moon sugar. Khajiit culture is pretty much a giant drug haven when you think about it.
