Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 1:51 pm

Hi im new to eldor scrolls just got skyrim have played for 3 days. Im just here to get help on how to level pickpocketing (im lvl 16). Im here cuz i have a HUGE proble with pickpoting (i get caught most of the time) I would like to know where theres a easy zone to pickpocket or how to do it

Im level below 20 above 15(i hope) srry im not playing right now

[(low 40) enchanting]
BTW im playing mage. Light armour svckS so i wana enchant heavy armour thing but my enchantments svck ass where can i get better enchants?

Also i have an enchant for 50% restoration of magicka and when i try to disenchant something with 75% it
wont let me, What i wanna know is does this mean that i will never be able to get anything higher then 50% restoration of magicka or does
the % scale to my lvl in enchanting and what points i have placed on it? or am i screwed in having lower magicka restoration.

oh ya how do i escape jail i have tried twice and failed? my sneak 31 i thnk or 21

Addation:
whats up with sleeping. one of my freinds plays fallout and told me if i sleep a good amount i am well rested ive slept for 12 hours and got nothing [in my house i just baught (am i suppose to buy a new bed?)]. ive slept for 8 in college of winterhold and only got rested. People keep saying you look ill is that cuz i dont sleep?

I'd highly suggest paying for training rather than grinding at low PP levels. The beggar woman in windhelm offers pickpocket training at the Expert Level.

You learn the enchantment (only once), if you dischant something 22% it's the same enchantment as 25%. The value you put onto new armor is dependent on your skill/perks.

Not going to answer the rest, as it's a mess to be honest.

This might give you some tips on pickpocketing.

As for Speech, it's a pain to level up. Trainers and skillbooks aside, selling stuff is the only way to level it up. The only advice I have is: If you have stacked items, sell them one by one. It's longer, but every transaction levels your Speech a little.
There's also an exploit that will allow you to level up very quickly, but it's sorta cheating, so I don't know if you want to use it. You can easily google it in case you're interested.

to level speech quicker, when your selling alot of 1 thing, sell them 1 by 1 instead of selling the whole stack. this will give more xp. dunno if its considered an exploit or not.

Speech is regarded to be a useless perk at this time. I just sell stuff and never really worry about it.

Pickpocket.. Make sure you are behind a person before you crouch. You can click to check their inventory with no penalty. Only when you actually attempt a pick does the chance kick in.

The larger or more expensive an item, the greater your chance to get caught. Stick with gold and small stuff as you level up. Also, as noted, get training. The guild is a great place to get sneak, pickpocket and lock picking training. I also choose not to train LP as it comes naturally in the game.

If you've joined the Thieve's guild you can pickpocket people in Riften and just pay off about 12 gold and they'll clear your bounty and leave you with your stolen goods.

+pickpocket gear.....

You can enchant your own or find/buy gear.

Get your first piece (boots) by joining the Thieves Guild. This offers +15%.

With at least this piece you can start doing some basic pick pocketing... gold and keys only really. Save before every attempt so you can reload on your inevitable failures.

Just pickpocket bandits before you kill them. If you're caught it doesn't matter since they were due to die anyway! Course you'll have to play stealthily to get close, not sure if you're a stealth mage or not. You can't pickpocket in combat.

Yah well... that or pay the fine for every failure... if you decide to pay the fines... then make sure to store any stolen goods in a container between targets so you don't lose anything

just wait 1 hour = autosave. A lot faster than manual save
Was talking about saving before pick-pocketing... can't really rely on auto-save for that.

Just pickpocket the easy stuff while sneaking. Looking at someones inventory is not against the law, but stealing is. It says you have a #% chance of stealing. Just steal the items that have high percentages.
I hav like 23 in Pickpocket and can steal a few things. Just SAVE before pickpocketing.

You can do this........

but I tend to prefer going for a backstab kill since that provides more stealth XP. Of course if you succeed... you get both.

Yeah, I hit this problem trying to play a non-combat thief.

Prettymuch you either pay to train and/or try and get it off bandits, or take a lot of jail tours (or reloading)

It's easier if they are asleep and you are standing behind them, it's dark, no one else can see you and you only steal small inexpensive things.
