First post, and I am playing on Xbox 360 by the way. I killed Hulda (the Innkeeper in The Bannered Mare) a while back as she was attacking me because I killed someone in the Inn as part of a quest. Now Ysolda has taken over and there is no chat option for rumours about the Jarl's son acting strange. Anyway to start this quest or can I not get all the Daedric artifacts anymore? That would svck since I almost have all of them but also I didn't exploit the Werewolf mission where you get the armour and the ring. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, Hulda is necassary for this quest. Ysolda just won't tell you the rumour. Maybe the patch will fix this?

I hope so. Worst comes to worst, I will reload my save just before I killed Hulda and do all the Daedric Quests on that save (I think I am just about level 30 on that save)

Balgruuf was removed from power?

I sided with the Legion, so I can't do that. I found the save anyway and I found out that I already have:

Masque of Clavicus Vile
Mace of Molag Bal
Sanguine's Rose
Wabbajack

I don't think I have the armour from the Werewolf mission either, so I might do the exploit thing on that mission whichs means I have one less Daedric quest to do. Then when I have finished all the Daedric Artifacts I can go back to my normal save.

But you still need to hear the rumour for the quest to trigger, right? You just talk to Balgruuf... elsewhere.

I've decided I won't touch Skyrim till 1.4 is out as Blood on the Ice doesn't work for me and I think I messed up that quest even further because Viola has died and I stole one of the Butcher's journals. Depending if it works on my Level 38 save, if it doesn't then I will just revert back to my Level 30 save and continue the game from there where Hulda is alive, Blood on the Ice works, etc...
