Hi, I have been trying to take screenshots in Skyrim, the nature is awesome, I have used the standard PC buttons, Shift + Prt Sc. but it doesnt work, at least not as intended, the screenshots are black/white, not colour, and they are distorted, kind of "leaning" toward left. I have also tried using the F12 key as it said in the settings, but that one doesnt work at all. I have a laptop Win 7 64-bit with 16 GB of internal memory, Nvidia Geforce 540 GT with 2 GB videomem. I have taken screenshots in Oblivion, no problem, but it doesnt work in Skyrim. Would appreciate it very much if anyone can help me with this. The nature is so awesome and I want to capture some of it.

Odd that the Steam screen capture doesn't work for you. What if you change the Screenshot shortcut key to something else, like F10, in the Steam settings?

In the steam settings, you can pick any key to be used for screenshots.

Is there any way to zoom in/out or toggle the compass, so it doesn't appear across my character's forehead?

Is the Steam overlay enabled for Skyrim? You can't take screenshots without it.

Are you using a resolution other than your monitor's native one?
