How in the ? can I up my carry capacity?

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 3:11 am

I've seen nothing, no potions, well I did find one Draught of Strength good for only 30 points for 300 seconds, what happened to strength upgrades upon leveling up? No enchantments? No spells? Anyway I'm level 22 now and still screwing around at 345 carry capacity. Any answers = GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!

If you'd like to explain to me how a weapon can be enchanted with an 'increase carrying capacity' enchantment then be my guest. First of all, you start out with 300 'pounds' of carrying capacity. You stated you have 345. Not that I intend to insult your intelligence, but wouldn't you have noticed the increase in carrying capacity after each level when you chose to increase Stamina?

Yes I know I've upgraded so far, but in Oblivion at level 20 I was carrying around 800

That was a combination of enchanted armor/weapons, and being able to concentrate on leveling up my strength

Well, not to be rude or anything, but this isn't Oblivion. Each time you level, you can pick stamina and increase your carrying capacity by ten, if I remember right. Might not be wise to completely ignore health and magicka, but the choice is yours.

If you really want to pack around 800 pounds of junk, at level 20, you're gonna have to find/craft some potions, powers and enchantments.

Steed stone. Pickpocketing perk. Enchant boots and gloves. I can carry 600 lbs right now, though it'd be closer to 700 if I enchanted my boots and gloves. It's not really worth it since I have 120,000G and little to spend it on.

Anybody ever notice it's really hard to just ask a question here? People just LOVE judging based on their idea of gameplay vs. yours. I just want to know the easiest way to CARRY MORE!! Those who don't know or care how to help, WHY respond?

Looks like the only one with fortify carry weight that you can reliably find that you might be able to disenchant is thieves guild armor. The rest are random.

Go to riften and I the market there will be a guy who says something along the lines of "you have a lot of gold but haven't earned any of it legally" he will give you a job to do and that gets you in.

Edit: about the carry weight enchantments. I recomend finding all the smiths and cloths murchents and keep checking with them untill they have something of use to dissenchant.

player.modav carryweight 2500

I know - only pc, and could be considered cheating. It's the only "cheat" I use though. Being so limited just always seemed to be too big of a hassle . I see it as a mini-mod, just allowing a bit more freedom.

Your companion can carry as much as you want. They technically have a limit, but when you can't give them any more you can go into command mode a tell them to pick stuff up and they seem to magically find that little Bit of extra space. You can do thus as much as you want do they are technically un limited in the ammount they can carry.

go up in stamina, find boots of the ox, get theives guild armor, pick stone steed, use strength potions, give extra stuff to companions.

there is Ring of Namira that increases stamina by 50 points.

there is also the Gauldar Amulet that increases magika/health/stamina by 30 points.

I am constantly overburdened. i just place any extra weight in an empty chest, bag or even corpse. i fast travel and sell the suff and then return for the rest.

Thieves Guild armor will up your carry by 20 - Found in Riften and is one of the first things given to you. Just ask around about the guild.
Volsung - Dragon Priest Mask increases Carry by 20
Steed Stone for sure up carry by 100 and reduces worn armor weight
Charmed Necklace increases Carry weight by 25
Extra Pockets Perk can increase Carry by 100
All boots of Brawn, Hauling, Lifting, Mammoth, Ox and Strength can increase and be disenchanted to learn the attribute. All are random drops.

While it won't actually increase your maximum capacity, getting the relevant armor perk to make an armor set weightless will effectively give you more carrying capacity.

OK now I got the thieve's guild armor, and I choose to disenchant and the armor doesn't show up. Is this a glitch? Getting quite annoyed! Any help?
