How the College of Winterhold could be a better placeguild.

Post » Sun Jul 15, 2012 3:44 pm

My favorite place/guild is the College of Winterhold, but I think it could improve a lot. I′m playing TES V in a 360, so I don′t have access to mods and the creation kit.
What I′d like to see in the College:
-More students, have the ability of recruit them.
-To see how students attend their classes at the Hall of the Elements or at the Arcaneum, and the teachers actually being teachers. (The only thing they do, both teachers and students, is eat bread wandering all around the place).
-Have the chance to upgrade the fort. Maybe adding some classrooms, like those of the Bard′s College, a garden with some rare beast and animals, a store of all kind of magical stuff (instead of the teachers as traders)
-To became Arch Mage only if you acomplish some of the master spell quests.

I think Toldfir should be arch mage, and J′zargo could be like an expert / teacher on scrolls.

Personally, I don't think they svck, but yes, are simple, short quest lines. They could be more deeper and interesting, with real concequences / effects on the world.

The guild quest lines do svck, but that doesn't stop us discussing how they could be awesome.

I agree with the OP there really really should be lessons on a daily basis, when the hall of elements is not being used by the guild questline. I am fortunate that I play on PC so can make and use mods to create the game that Bethesda should have made.

"The damn college blew up Winterhold" ever hear a guard say this after you complete the college's quest? I don't understand this.

Mannimarco the king of worms from the Oblivion Mages Guild questline was a member of the Psijic order and has died twice in the series so far (no idea why writing is small).

It′s explained that the nords aren′t big fans of magic, and they blame the College for the destruction of the city of Wintherhold. It′s something that past centuries ago (a cataclism that involves a flooding, wich vanished most of the city) and it′s not related to Dovakiin′s adventures.
