How do I Upgrade ED-E? : Fallout: New Vegas

I am resting Rex and am now wandering with this guy and I was wondering how do you get the BoS to upgrade him?

Do ED-E's quest and hand him in to the BoS. You have to do a lot of running but the outcome is worth it IMO

You should have started his quest when you repaired him before he joined you.
The quest is "ED-E My Love".

I am looking through the quest instructions and since I'm level 23 now it might be hard to finish it.

There are certain words that trigger his quest and move it forward. Head over to the Gibson Scrapyard and talk with Old Lady Gibson about anything suggested. When you do the Helios One quest, talk with Rivas about everything too. There are some others you can speak with too. Check the Wiki for ED-E My Love. I'd suggest taking him to the FOTA though...it's a better upgrade imho. Good luck!
