How do you browse for the mods you want?

Hmm, not sure if this is in the right section. Anyway, wanted to ask how do y'all browse through the whole chunk of mods out there to find the ones that you want?
I mean, do you go the the nexus and start browsing through each and every mod, or do you only download mods when you feel like you need something like it?

I used to only download mods that i thought of (e.g i decided that dungeons were not dark enough, so i searched for a darker dungeons mod) in oblivion, but that would cause you to miss out on some mods which you might like ,no?

i have been thru most catergories on the nexus, filter by endorsemants. Look for popular and highly rated mods. Any catch my eye, i give them a try. I then look at the less popular mods until i find enough from that catergorie that ive think ive seen most of what changes are available. I check the new/recent mods page for anything i might of missed due to only being uploaded recently, i do this quite often. I also use the tracker to keep track of updates etc. I have recently been searching by mod author aswell. Find something i rate and look and what else that modder has made.

At this point I've got everything I want to deal with covered (difficulty tweaks, better lighting/graphics, new armors/weapons, etc.) so I just keep an eye on the files of the month, the hot files, new files from authors I like, and release threads on this forum to see if anything interesting comes by. And sometimes I scroll down the latest releases in categories that I'm interested in.
