How do you decide?

How do you decide what character you play and RP? I find myself not being able to stick to 1 character for long. I feel like if I was in Skyrim I would be a nord warrior with a sword and board wearing light armor, smithing and enchanting to take on every dragon. Then I feel like I should be a dunmar nightblade sneaking in the night using illusion and slitting throats of those that stand in my way. How do you decide who to RP and get 100 of hours out of?

You really need to ask yourself that, it's not something other people can tell you. Probably a lot of trial and error involved as well.

I just usually play as myself in games like ES and Fallout, in Skyrim I'm a Nord Warrior with a good alignment.

Slightly selfish and isolationist, not really selfish but definetely a lone wolf. Tend to make huge amounts of gold as well.

I agree. It is somewhat hard to roleplay in this game. I find a weird disconnect and it may be because I have a mild case of ADD, just cannot connect to the character, or I want to do everything but the game is so limiting.

I feel your pain. I have had the game since Christmas.. at least 160 hours into the game and I have yet to finish a questline. I keep restarting and saying.. ooo this would be cool or that would be cool. Like I role a mage and sometimes I just want to rage and start swinging a sword... or the next I wish I could charm the Sabre Cat coming at me 150mph on my 180 health Warrior.

You really just need to find a character, story, actions, collections, motivations that will get you to stay. HOWEVER, roleplaying will allow you get the most out of the game.

It's easy for me, since there is only one kind of character I want to play, but since I don't have a great PC, I'm not playing him until later so now I'm playing everything else first.

When it comes to characters, I usually develop a backstory/basic structure for character and everything prior to playing.
