I don't think you can, but you can loot it and upgrade it.

It's everywhere, not like it hard to find, just go out and kill some bandits your bound to find them wearing it about 90% of the time.

There are 4 different fur armor models, so kill a lot of bandits until you find the style you like.
Sort of like a homocidal fashion show.

Yeah, but that's really no fun. How is my skinny little Bosmer supposed to fit in to the fur outfit of a big scary Nord?

And I don't recall seeing a single one so far. Found an Ancient Nord Helm once and upgraded it for Lydia (on a character that I couldn't make it). Had a different style of horns than what I can make on other characters. Haven't seen one of those since either.

To the OP, you can at least get the fur gauntlets and boots in the tutorial off of dead stormcloaks. The rest is pretty easy to get.

You'll probably be wanting the Forsaken armor when you find that anyhow. Its like fur with (bone themed) bling, and has better stats.

As for ancient nord armor, I'vee sen helmets and boots (and maybe gauntlets, I forget). Its a bit better than iron armor, iirc. Not good enough to replace dwarven or orc with. Shame, since it looks sweeet.

How would my 7'3", 400lb argonian wear armor made for ANYBODY?

The hat is the hardest to find. I do know where there is one located. It has been there for 3 toons.......And this is the actual fur helm. Not one of the common ones you find everywhere that have spikes or horns or whatever. It looks like and is purely a fur 'hat'.

Spoiler
Below Solitude is a lighthouse. Tied to the wharf nearby is a ship and if you look on a shelf inside is a hat you can get. No need to go delving.

The actual armor is on an Orc Battlemage somewhere S-S-East of Riverwood, in a cave with a spellsword outside.

Doesnt it just fit? What is the issue?

What they mean is if one were to RP a 7'3" Argonian trying to squeeze into armor made for even a 6' tall Nord. Yes, in GAME terms all the armor just "fits". In RP terms, if one wanted to go to that extreme, a 7'3" tall bipedal reptile would have issues wearing armor made for almost anyone else without a lot of fitting. That ignores that fact that a large bipedial reptile might not be quite the same shape overall as a large human like well, a Nord.

Or if that is confusing, imagine a lot of modern basketball players trying to buy clothing off the rack in a store. Most need at least some of their clothing custom tailored. Now think about the guy's comment.
