How do you get Dead Thrall Malkoran out of the temple?spoile

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 10:53 am

In the room w/ Dawnbreaker w/ Malkoran and some other named necro thralled. Every time I take DB and get the cut scene Malkoran goes missing but this forgettable necro will always show up if I wait a few hours. I've tried waiting a day +, fast traveling, reloading and trying again, trying to leave the inner sanctum w/out DB but the door is locked. The effect is still in my active effects he's just MIA

Kinda want to collect his corpse for my collection at Breezehome

You can get Malkoran to follow you out of the temple, but there is a trick to it.

Kill Malkoran then raise him before you grab dawnbreaker.

When Meridia teleports you outside, look for the pillars with the beams you lit up earlier, you should be able to see the ones on the outside of the temple.

You can find a way to climb to that balcony area.

Go back into the area where Malkoran is, be aware that the door to his room is locked, but you don't need to go inside that room.

Just get close to that door to make him aware of you, this step may not be necessary.

Go back outside and he should now be with you.

The thing is, I don't think that his corpse is permanent.

If you stop using him as a thrall, his corpse will disappear.

Thanks man, I heard he was one of the perma corpses which is why I want him, even though I've got 8 corpses already, as far as I know they're all permanent as long as I visit them every so often, actually had an ancient vamp I'd been storing for a while come back to life w/ new armor and attack me in Breezehome, still have her corpse

I dunno, he might be. He disappeared for me after I left him for a while.

Be careful when he dies, he spawns a shade that will try to kill anything near it, and it casts spells which can hurt if you don't have the resists.

It drops some gold though, which is fairly nice.

So his shade isn't friendly if you use him as a dead thrall?
I was about to get him hoping the shade that appears when he dies would be useful.

It is useful, as long as the enemy is the closest target for the shade.

You can even re-thrall Malkoran and have him fight his own shade, which is rather amusing.

did the 1.4 patch change the dead thrall inner working ? I could loot and give my bodies weapons and armor to use but now when I thrall them they only use weapons and always respawn with default armor. Sometimes they stop working and when I kill them they dont disappear too.
