as a warrior, sprint close (whirlwind sprint if you have it) and smash him. cast/drink any resists that you can. use any high power scrolls (including conjurs) you have. conjur anything you can to help.

Had very anti-climactic battle with him. As an assassin I snuck up behind the two mages guarding him kill themn both then went down and waited behind a piller for him to have his back to me. Sneak up x30 damage ...dead. I was less than pleased with the fight.

The first time, I cheated (TGM) and just battled it out with him, face-to-face. Second (and so far final) time, I got the bug wherein he never attacks you. I tried using the sneak-arrow strategy, which worked as expected for the channelers and for the first half of Morokei's health, but then he finally found me and proceeded to float around menacingly while not attacking. I think I kept shooting him, but I may have switched to magic at that point.

Also, I believe I called him a "skeever butt" at one point.

Kill the lower mage first, then go up and kill the one on the higher platform, once up there stay up there and you can snipe/fireball Morokei from there while he just moves backwards and forwards. Just move back a bit when he starts flingins spells at you and move forward again to shoot etc.

Steadfast ward was very useful for me in this battle. A good strategy is to keep staggering him. A quick FUS will do nicely and always use power attacks.

You could just use cover and pick at him with arrows.

This. I just got up on the ledge and hammered him with lightning. He went down pretty quick.

You could do what they suggest and exploit the AI limitations.

If you want to win an honest (i.e., melee) fight, the main thing is to not let him past you: given room to run he can easily pwn your sorry butt by kiting and casting. Shock and magic resist are good; kill him quick is vital, unless you have an endless supply of red pots. And summons can always distract him, especially while you are closing with him. Fus, shield-bash, ice form help too.

I had an easy time with him, but I was Level 30 or so when I met him. I sat in the doorway leading to his room, picked off his mages with an improved bow with an enchantment (and it wasn't some min-max beast weapon - it deals 45 damage with a 15-point shock damage bonus), switched to glass arrows, and then spammed him with those until he died. Barely took any damage myself.

Krosis, OTOH, who I met when I was at about Level 14 or 15, was a nightmare.

I killed him with melee. Stand right next to him. kill the two mage from a distance with a fireball. When the seconds one dies you are right next to him and can start hacking away instantly, even before he has a chance to do anything. Power attacks + stamina potions. This worked especially well for me because i have a battleaxe that drained magicka. I think he was able to get off one spell in total before the final blow.

Regretably, there's not much you can do to lock Krosis down without spamming shield-bash. On the plus side, running away until he finds someone else to play with is not hard at all.
Personally, I used my Summon Storm Atronach scroll to help me with Krosis.

morokei wwas easy for my stalthy archer. in the doorway to his chamber i've disposed of the 2 "drones" and the locked him in a circle going up and donw the entrance stairs, whyle i was hiding on the rocks that extend from there.
it's kind of dumb after they get stuck with arrows in their foreheads, the enemies to say "i was just hearing things" or "is't gone". u're almost dead and you don'tn even bother to hide?

the fact that they take cover when engaged with a bow when they can not get to the archer makes me a happy person indeed. If he's undead, maybe he couldn't feel the arrows?!

When I entered the room I killed the two mages with one arrow each, then I positioned myself under the "bridge" and killed him with a couple of arrows too. cleared the whole dungeon using the same tactic. playing assassin btw

Morokei fights by taking your magicka, so melee is not a disadvantaged way to fight him.

My spellsword uses conjured swords and I happened to have some of the drainheart swords on me as well from previous loots so in the one part of the fight where I was out of magicka (and potions) I equipped one of those and resorted to dodging around pillars to prevent him murdering me while I was regaining my ability to attack.

scrolls are good, steadfast ward is nice and is "handed" to you just outside of the fight in case you don't already know it. I avoided conjured friends because he takes control of them and then you're fighting your own atronoch in addition to dodging him.

The best "cheat" I can offer a level 16 is to suggest getting him to follow you into the water by kiting him off the ledge above, he can't fight in the water any more than you can.

**correct me if I'm wrong, oh gracious experts of all things ES, previous ES dungeon scales may apply here: this dungeon is likely higher than 16 by the time you get to Morokei. I watched my boyfriend die a dozen times in that fight at level 17 and my level 20 spellsword walked through him with some magicka potions and a couple fast heals. It's possible that the dungeon scales from level 20 so the last fight wasn't as hard on me?

Sniping him with Wabbajack while he is distracted by followers/summons or sneaking is the easiest option.

Dragonpriests don't scale, they are always level 50, even if you find them at level 1.

I was around lvl 40 when I took him on - full dragon armor, enchanted daedric blade, one-handed at 80ish, 2 hits and he died. Yup, my fight was pretty much anti-climactic, too! LOL I think I would take on these mask wearing dragon priests at a higher level. It's much easier! There's plenty to do at lvl 16, without worrying about these "Skeever Butts" as someone put it! LOL

As Ali said - Box a fighter, fight a boxer.
If he is set up to 'own' mages and rip down your mana then use melee to smash his smug face in.
Similar if an opponent is a two ton tank in full plate - fry the svcker. Fight their weakness not their strengths.

Krosis was a pain. I found him before fighting the dragon at the watch tower, so I booked it outta there then came back when there were dragons. Krosis and the dragon had no interest in fighting each other, so I fled again and came back to deal with the dragon alone without getting Krosis into the mix. Killed the dragon, and I eventually dealt with Krosis too. That playthrough, I collected like 3 of the Dragon Priest masks, Krosis, Morokei, and one other that was in a tomb with these locks on it, with skull-shaped keys. Forget his name. I also got the wooden mask and put all three dragon priest masks on the stand in Labyrinthian.

If you have Flaming Familiar, I would suggest hiding behind a pillar, out of reach, and spam that. It can't be controlled, or atleast is never controlled, by the dragons priests, and deals ok damage, about 30 of them should work. I also just sprinted up to him on my mage character, and slash him repeatively with Mehrunes' Razor. He doesn't seem to be able to do anything at close range.

I thought all the DP are lvl 50 and dont scale so taking one on at lvl 16 regardless of tactics is just about suicide? I was lvl 60 when I got around to that quest the first time and it wasnt all that hard to kill him but he does deal out some damage if you let him.

I just did Morokei at level 17. I have a Breton/Atronach so he can take serious magic attacks. I stood on the high mage position and whittled him down with about 100 arrows and lydia whacking him here and there. I thought the high level Draugrs in the previous passageway were harder.
